YES, keep him 2d. That last 3d Sonic game blew major chunks. He's meant to stay the same, but with upgraded backgrounds and character models.

So it's like Sonic Rush for DS? I'm kind of underwhelmed. Still, a good Sonic game is few and far between these days (or last 10 years) so I'm looking forward to this.

I haven't played a Sonic game since Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast. This one looks promising.

Looks almost exactly like the old-school Genesis ones in terms of gameplay. Don't know if that is bad or good. Sonic never had the depth of, say, Super Mario as a platformer. Still, glad to see them moving away from those awful Gamecube games.
