Jimmy Smits signed up for a full season next year and will be in all 13 episodes.

Sons of Anarchy is making Jimmy Smits a full-time member.

TVLine has learned that Smits — who joined the FX smash last season as gangbanger-turned-”companionator” Nero — is not only returning in Season 6, but will appear in all 13 episodes.

In December, series creator Kurt Sutter told TVLine that he was anxious to further examine the relationship between Nero and Katey Sagal’s Gemma, but noted that Smits’ busy schedule could be an obstacle.

“I dig [them],” said the boss. “In the finale, when he’s all twisted up about being back in the life, that’s the thing that makes Gemma the most comfortable. She knows what to do with those kinds of men; she knows how to be strong for those kinds of men. So, what does that look like? It’s a culture clash that we haven’t explored yet. To plug her into that world, which is traditionally somewhat misogynistic, could be interesting to see played out a little bit and to see what that looks like. I’d love to keep that going.”

Despite being signed for all episodes produced in Season 6, Smits won’t technically be billed as a series regular.

SOA, which currently stands as FX’s highest-rated series ever, is slated to start production on Season 6 in early summer ahead of a fall 2013 launch.

Glad to see Nero is going to be in the show alot more. I really like his character.

Is this show any good?

I am looking for a new show to start watching. I read there isn't much swearing in this show (no F word, and not much other language) not that bad language makes a show good, but l heard people complaine without the language they don't come off as real bikers an such.

Also heaard it's slow paced show.

There's plenty of language, just not that "language." Believe me when I say that I have no doubt in my mind that, given the choice, Kurt Sutter would have made SoA one of the most authentic (and vulgar) shows on television. That being said, it already is. For something that's not on a premium cable channel like HBO or Showtime, it pushes censorship to its breaking point.

Definitely, though; if you get the chance, watch it.

I wish these were 1/6 scale but still pretty cool!

With both Clay, Tara and Otto all with jail storylines that could get old quick.

Just speculation, but this would be the easiest way for the writers to enable Tara to finally copy Ophelia's exit.

Taking a page from Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead, FX’s Sons of Anarchy is getting an post-episode chat fest, EW has confirmed.

The cable network has picked up three episodes of the online post-show. Each 30-minute installment will stream live on FX’s web site after the East Coast airing, following the premiere as well as episode 5 and the season finale, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The aftershow will be hosted by Chris Franjola (Chelsea Lately).

On Twitter, creator Kurt Sutter confirmed the show will follow a similar format to the AMC after-shows, with “cast members, celebrity superfan and me” appearing.

FX will keep the content online so fans can catch up or re-watch. Sons of Anarchy season 6 premieres Sept. 10.

I liked this show for the first five seasons but the season structure became so predictable. Also, I'm not sure that the writer has ever meet a real black person before because the way they were portrayed was really hilarious but pretty racist. How about the scene where they bust in on the girl and her black boyfriend having like the most savage sex ever and then they're talking to her while they're all standing up and dressed and the black boyfriend is sitting down basically naked. Looked a lot like a slave. I'm not really a racially sensitive person and I'm not black but it just seemed really weird after considering how they showed the wealthy mean black guy in the flashy suits and the dumb henchman who can't think for themselves. By the way, have they come up with yet another reason for Jax to not kill Clay? "Oh yeah I can't kill Clay yet because the swat officers and Mexicans and FBI are telling the CIA to the Irish...blah blah but don't worry because I WILL kill him." Or is Otto going to try to make himself relevant by cutting off yet another body part? I understand he's the writer behind the show.

There was too much biker booty for me in one episode. Season opener was ok for me. The little kid's "spree" was random. Did I miss something?
