Richard Kelly's first movie since Donnie Darko opens in limited release this week. I know it received quite a few bad reviews at Cannes, but I still want to see it. I've read that Kelly reedited and shortened it by 20 minutes or so.

It comes out on DVD in Australia, 12 March '08...And, from what I can tell it had very limited or no Cinema release here...But looking forward to seeing it..

Screw the reviews...any mind capable of making Donnie Darko can do no wrong in my book. Very much looking forward to this getting a wider release!

I'm can't wait for this!

I'm a pimp, and pimps don't commit suicide!

:lol

interesting cast. I know some people do not like the Rock, but I think he does a decent job. I thought he and SWS worked pretty good together in the rundown.

LOVED the Rundown! I think the Rock is an outstanding actor, and just hasn't been given enough good roles.

Really looking forward to Southland Tales.

I've never been a big fan of The Rock, but I don't mind him. Sort of like Patrick Swayze. I remember what a surprise he was in Donnie Darko. And like Donnie Darko, this has a big diverse cast with a weird story.

I have been waiting for this movie since I first heard about it in 2005, at time I didn't think it would ever come out.

Same here. It seems like forever since i first heard about this thing.

Just like many others I've been waiting for this films since it was announced so many years ago. I'm happy its finally getting a theatrical release (even if it's limited and I'll have to drive 45 minutes to L.A. to see it). The movie has been getting awful reviews but I don't care. I want to see if Kelly can pull off another interesting, strange film or is he just going to be a one hit wonder?

So this came out today on dvd...watching it right now...so far I like it....a buttload of cameos:google:google:google. I'll let u know what I thought about it when it's over...I'm hoping some others are watching this now.

I just saw a creepy tough/guy Jon Lovitz!?!?!

And they played Wave of Mutilation....I'm diggin' it.

I watched it at work awhile back and I plan on picking up tonight on my way home. Definitely need to watch it a few times as its tough to follow if it does not have your devoted attention.

From what I did see though it looked to be a pretty darn good flick though. I know there are haters of the Rock but I think he's evolved pretty good myself.

Ehhh...so i finished it. I'm a fan of movies....I'm a fan of the weird. This was a weird movie, but for the most part not in a fun way. I'm not a fan at all though it does have its moments. For the record I like just about everyone in it and was looking forward to it for a long time too. :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

Thanks man! I have the album to the Killers with that song they play with JT. I never was fond of it but after that scene...I hear that song in a different way now. lol

LOL! That Killers song is great! If you haven't checked out The Pixies(They did Where is My Mind used in Fight Club too and have a great catalog of rockin' tunes) they were/are one of the greatest bands ever! Firehose will rock your socks off too(look for Brave Captain or Chemical Wire for starters)!

GO DANNIE GO I LOVE MY DEAD GAY SON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
