Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I think eventually the TV characters will make an appearance here-and-there. Seeing them in brief cameos for 'Infinity War' is a must. But Daredevil especially can fit into a Spider-man movie or any other movie even at the very least as Matt Murdock in a legal role. It'd be great to see him show up to represent someone like Cap and the New Avengers and clear them of charges by the UN or something like that so they can 'save the world' legally again.

And as the TV shows have made vague references to the MCU (commonly talking about 'The Battle of New York' most of all), it'd be awesome to see references to the TV shows in the MCU movies. Talk about the Devil of Hell's Kitchen or skull-wearing vigilantes or something...

... I think the real reason is Disney thinks women and fangirls would get so jealous of Scarlett Johansson.

I'd love to see Scarlett Johansson on a cereal box but I bet the reason we don't is Disney is scared average women will complain.

 What? No. I don't think women would be "jealous" or "complain" if Scarlett Johansson gets her own solo Black Widow movie, nor do I think this is the thing movie execs think that keep them from making one.

Depends on how it is done I suppose. I think the question though of DD appearing in Spider-Man will be tone. As I understand it Spider-Man Homecoming is going for a "John Hughes" feel. Hard to see the gritty DD fit into that, or even a courtroom drama spring up in the midst of it. Maybe, Murdock can represent Aunt May if her landlord is trying to evict her or something.

I wouldn't want that. That kind of case isn't something the Netflix version of Matt Murdock and his struggling firm would have an opportunity to take. Again, Murdock representing someone like Aunt May in court is more his things.

Yea, It would be nice to at least hear some verbal reference to the TV shows in the movies.

I think we all are excited about the reality of a "shared universe" across the different mediums of TV and film, and whatever way they can acknowledge this without taking away from the stories each are telling is a very good thing.

Im sure im not the only one when i say "tease us already" just show us something! anything, Hot Toys! XD

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I don't know if this has been addressed in the MCU, but if I'm remembering right, in at least one comic continuity, BW isn't exactly 'powerless' -- she has delayed aging, enhanced strength and healing ... not Cap level but more-than-human...?

So far there's nothing to indicate she has powers in the MCU. She's very skilled, but is clearly way below the powered people. Note
the two times she fought Bucky she was rather easily defeated, whereas Cap and Black Panther both went toe to toe with him.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I hate that grappling crap Natasha and Sharon Carter does, so I was glad to see Bucky easily counter it.

A Black Widow solo film treated like Bourne Identity would rock.

It's due to the Infinity Formula, same one Nick Fury Sr. uses in the comics. And nope no signs of any of that in the MCU.

I still wouldn't watch a BW solo film :lol

Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

People keep moaning about why BW doesn't have a movie. She's a boring human that's why. I'll watch a Borne movie for that stuff

Marvel just need to press fast forward on that captain Marvel button!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I thought BW was enhanced as well as she is based off of the Ultimate BW just like Cap.

She's almost nothing like her Ultimate counterpart, from what I've seen. The only similarity is that she's Hawkeye's partner. Ultimate Black Widow is Tony Stark's fiancee and turns out to be a traitor.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I am so sick of the "boring human" complaints. Do people REALLY need powers and the like to be interesting or carry their own film? If you have an interesting character and can write up a great story, a movie can be great. I think it'd be great to have a film with a very limited about or not even have any super powered people. That's kinda the beauty of the MCU and Marvel Comics as a whole, you can have all these different types of stories with different genres and characters and all that.

But anyways, she's enhanced in the 616 as well as the Ultimate universe. But 616 ftfw.

I'd watch a BW movie simply because, if done right, it would give us a female spy movie that wasn't along the lines of Charlie's Angels and because we could see more of Nat's past. I don't mind her keeping her past from her team mates, but at least give the audience a little more.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

People are so hard up for news about the Spider-Man set that this has turned into a Black Widow debate.:lol

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Well it may go back to Spider-Man soon. I think there may be a reveal coming

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Does Spider-man counts as being in Team IM since he fought for them as well? Kinda curious why he is labelled as "Team Ironman with Spider-Man" in the boxset.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Stark recruited him to help bring in Cap and he fought alongside him... Why wouldn't he be labeled Team Iron Man?
