Honestly, 70% of their items must be exclusives right? Isn't that a fair guesstimate? I don't know how/why you GG collectors put up with that.

The sad thing is, when I read the title of this thread I knew the bust was going to be an exclusive. I only clicked the link to see who's exclusive it was.

This case is definitely a poor rehash. It's a cool idea, and tempting, but in this scenario, the bust design is ill-fitting for the spirit concept. Yoda worked, but if Ben is a pure rehash, then it'll just be a novelty piece where it could have been a really nice concept piece.

According to the films, Jedis don't take their sabers with them. Either way, you've got to admit, it's a cheap rehash with less artistic merit than the original bust.

Its says image release on 10/04 so hopefully it'll be a new sculpt although I have my doubts. If it's anything like the Zombie Spider-man bust it'll come and go without announcement

Man, the original Obi-Wan bust is a great piece, so it may be hard for me NOT to buy this one! Thanks for the info on this one!

I am going to assume GG has a little common sense on this one ... or at least LFL. I can't believe either one would produce or allow to be produced a Jedi Spirit figure with a lightsaber. It completely goes against cannon. Yes, I know a few of the Hasbro figures came with "Spirit" sabers, but they could easily be removed, so it wasn't a big deal. Now, thanks to the stoic look on Obi, it wouldn't be that hard to resculpt the hand and arm to remove the reaching for the lightsaber effect. Heck, they are already going to have to do some tooling to get the body hollow for the light, so it wouldn't be too hard.

HOWEVER ... this could easily be a rehash. Let's hope not.

I got the Spirit Yoda becuase I already had the regular ESB version. However I passed on Old Ben so i'll easily be passing on this one...
