Not really cause the figure paint job, accessories and overall clothing material is lacking.

I don't understand how it could turn out so bad. It is essentially re-using the head sculpt from Clonobi and the stock jedi robes we've been seeing for years.

With all the comments of surprise at the Q2 release date when the PPO went up and Dusty not saying that was erroneous, something definitely seems fishy here.

If SS has been paying attention to the people buying this stuff, and what else those people buy from their site, maybe they're making a concerted effort to space out when items ship so collectors don't get hit with too much at once and have to cancel.

Well no one's called him a liar, we're all just speaking out of confusion over the situation.

While that'd be an interesting method in principal, it's a poor execution. Suppose some folks had nothing to worry about and could pay for him now but have to wait 4 more months or buy from overseas dealers. What'd be good is if they had like 2-3 months worth of shipments and gave folks the option of which month they want theirs included in, and I suppose worst case if everyone chooses the last month, maybe get a larger warehouse.

Despite using the same headsculpt the paint job isn't as good as Clonobi.

As for the Jedi robes, let's all face it, it's was never very high quality in the first place. It's almost 2009 and with all the HT offerings this year, can't blame me for having higher standards for 12 inch.

It's definitely legit with the packaging and all. If it was a kitbashed there wouldn't be a few cartons of the toy with the proper SS official packaging.

There seems to be some real shipping/release problems with figures lately. Things are available in China months ahead of time these days. I'm used to it with HT, but for Sideshow this is a first. First in terms of a huge delay like HT. Usually its a matter of two weeks. I didn't get this Obi-Wan, but I must admit to being curious now of the situation AND how this figure looks.

They haven't posted the pics of the actual product yet but it should be up by tomorrow.

Obi Wan has always been listed for a fourth quarter release so it's nothing out of the ordinary.

We also got Indy like a week before you guys.

I dunno man. I'm gonna go out on a limb and call BS. It's not uncommon for Sideshow to show promotional pics of products in box (Snake Eyes ring a bell?). Just because you see a pic of him in packaging doesn't mean he's out.

So the question now becomes, how much is that dart worth to people? Quite honestly I'd keep my order with SS but would get one of these now if I knew where/how/cost. And I wonder if Obi would look good on the Pro with ya know, Clone Obi Wan's head.

Edit: Well I ordered it off that site the pics are watermarked from. Just waiting for the shipping quote to pay.. guess Ill find out in a week or so if it's legit and how it looks..

Now will you guys believe me? The site have finally updated an actual product pics. The side is definitely legit. They are the local HT dealer and I got all my stuff from them. Quite a few members here have ordered from them.

None of those pics are of anybody actually holding the figure. Again, promo shots. Nothing more. What's more, you'd think they'd have him on the front page of their website if he was newly up for sale.
