That thing is really unsettling!

But creepy as this thing is, the fact remains that Stan Winston NEEDS to be immortalized in some kind of sculpture for the fans. He deserves it. (Though he certainly deserves better than this particular attempt!)


I, for one, would love it if someone (CoughSideshowCough) could reproduce the very cool sculpture that's on the cover of the special edition of the "Winston Effect" book.

I think the original of this piece is at Winston Studios ... and I believe it's huge. But a smaller version ... perhasps with a faux bronze finish ... would be spectacular. I'd buy that in a hearbeat. Stan was a pioneer and a hero of creature design, and I think that would be a fitting tribute.

I made a thread and had ten people ready and willing to commision a sculpt of Stan Winston with Chris Howes although with his huge work load at the minute I don't think it will be happening soon.
Either way as you say something needs to be made of Stan.
Hes a legend.
