Star Trek Security officer

A Huge fan of the films STII to STVI. I like they reused the TMP Security with a change in colour of the uniform.

I would have loved to have got the TWOK trio (presented here) but alas too rich for me or even just the uniform sets but either never happened or missed it.

Anyway I have a Playmate Kirk TWOK and stripped the onsie down to a Tunic, stitched up the back and currently working on the front.
Using General Frank USMC trousers to go with the Monster Maroon.

As for the Security Officer and main part of this thread. I have added ref images of the uniform.

Used a pristine Mego TMP Spock uniform. Stripped the cuff braids off bar one as guide for the Dark Green Security band (add later). Kept the collar as will attach a Dark Green collar to that. Removed the buckle and cut off part of the feet section.

I dyed with RIT DYE and a change certainly took place. Following day a second Dye bath and Very happy.

Now onto the Armour and helmet.

Ohhhh I So Wish I had your TWOK uniforms Nanjin. I know how many years this has been a labour of love.

Finally got the paper template right I think. Such a shame no one has gave the Security the same love as the Monster Maroons LOL

So template test fit, all is happy Now onto making the vests.

Well made four sets so far of Plasticard Armour.

Plan is spray them all brown. Though have ordered some pleather in case not a fan of spray job. Plus will make the armour look right on the body.

So pretty excited for how my first Starfleet Security Officer looks, so far.

Excuse the elastic band acting as belt.

So while I wait on pleather to try that path. Figured try paints as an option. FYI Hand painted two Just to gauge colour option IF pleather does not work (once here) and instead spray painting these vests.

So using 2 sets of armour painted one in games workshop chestnut ink


and the other in tamiya xf-64 red brown.

Plasticard armour now out of the window.

Pleather arrived and it looks good I think. Quick mock up.

Well done the second layer to the torso armour and the shoulders. Needs trimming on the first layer for the newly applied top layer.

Just need to do the chest piece, belt and holster to complete then onto the helmet.

Yesss! I was thinking I would like 3 security guards as background figures. Maybe a male human, a female andorian (using a repainted Mantis head with white hair), and an arcturian. Very interested to soo how this project turned out.
