In fact, according to Metacritic's aggregate scoring from the top film critics, 2 of the top 4 SW films belong to the ST. Here's their full list:

ANH: 90
TLJ: 85
ESB: 82
TFA: 81
ROTS: 68
RO: 65
Solo: 62
ROTJ: 58
AOTC: 54
TPM: 51

.

I wonder in 8, 18, 23, 28 and 38 years if they'll be commemorating TLJ's anniversaries? It seems it was more loved than ESB and very nearly loved as much as ANH. According to Metacritic.

My guess for the movie of the Disney era that SW fans will most like to see a screening of in 10 years time, or actually celebrate a 25th anniversary of, would be RO. But according to Metacritic that's in the dumpster below PT's ROTS, barely above the disaster Solo and only about ten points above AOTC.

So RO is only about ten points better than AOTC, but TLJ is TWENTY points better than RO?:dunno:lol

Rotten Tomatoes had Russian bots and alt right conspiracies to blame - what's Metacritic's excuse?:rotfl

This is a double edged sword you know,

Because most of the films both these people made were with her.

So who was really in charge here? Its disingenuous to give a single person credit over another. Spielberg has many film, MOST of the with KK. Who is to say how much credit goes to one or the other? Or that one deserves more accolades than another?

If you look at the track record without some agenda hunting bias, you realize she has well and truly earned her place to tun any films she wants.

Blaming her for the perceived failure of the ST (perceived mainly in the minds of older SW fans whom do not want to see a more diverse SW Universe when it comes to their beloved OT story) is crazy and an example of how bias against change and a women in charge is still an issue.

If you do not like the ST thats one thing, but to take away the rightful work and credits given to a person over a lifetime because you do not like the ST is quite another.
(Not singling you out Tali, just seems that post is stripping away credit where credit is due.....

And of course the bandwagon chimed in to support that notion.

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....

Now there's a lazy, unsubstantiated, a-bomb generalization I haven't heard before..:lol

There's Tali, second from the right, pictured with his fellow boardies...

AOTC good or bad is still remembered to this day. TLJ will forever be the most hated star wars movie with only a handful of fans. Like it or not. It’s the truth. No matter how much money it made it surpassed AOTc as the most hated Star Wars movie.m

For now that is this movies legacy. The most hated movie in the franchise. Hopefully this new one can pull a rots and save it

See this is what I’m trying to get through irons thick skull YES the ST have massive problems but please for the love of God and everything that is good in this world please stop trying to knock it down by using AOTC/ROTS as what proper SW should be like.

Please i’m begging you lol

It's funny, I only ever hear about how bad TLJ is on the internet, I also only ever hear people praising AOTC there. Never once in the real world, though.

A favourite GIF of Clown Prince was best suited here I think

In the words of a famous poet from the world of literature and the arts....

Fatality!

:rotfl

After seeing AOTC a friend asked me how it was, all I could summon was the sound effects when Jango chased Obi Wan in the asteroid field were very cool.

Holy crap so on point lol

Bwaaaaang! lol

Said it before. It comes down to redeeming moments. I'd much rather sit through battle of Geonosis even with the maximum cheese C-3p0/battle droid gag then sit through the snoozer final act of TLJ. Granted the effects in TLJ are still really solid where there is some datedness, to the prequel stuff.

That said nothing prequel should be the star wars standard.

My cringe goes like this...

AOTC love story > AOTC Whiney-Kin > AOTC C3PO > AOTC arena Jedi extras > TLJ broom boy > TLJ Canto > TLJ space Leia

See no one is innocent here lol
