Re: STAR WARS Sig Group

Someone should use Aayla Secura before he stops making em!

Re: STAR WARS Sig Group

Ok then, I will take a 2-1B please. For real!

Maybe add in a couple of other droids like R5D4 or something. Your call though. Thanks man! Very cool of you.

Re: STAR WARS Sig Group

Smells like fresh, oven-baked OT sigs to me!

@Darkseed: Sorry, couldn't do Skiff Lando. Hope the regular's okay.

Re: STAR WARS Sig Group

Love the coloring too, unique for sure.

Re: STAR WARS Sig Group

Hey blade! I want a Boba Fett !!!!!! Please!!!!!!

Sorry, already did Boba Fett.

And that's the deadline! If anyone's still interested in getting a Star Wars signature image, there are still three available from the first post:

> Jedi Order
> Mace Windu
> Wookies (kind of surprised this one hasn't been taken)

Let me know and I'll have them ready for you! For everyone else who's gotten an eligible request in, enjoy the sigs!
:hi5:

Here's another member's Commander Cody sig, since they requested via PM earlier today.

All righty, that's the last of 'em. :)

You will make more. It's too much fun not to. Trust me, as a Photoshop user and fan, I can sense it.

Keep the requests coming guys. :) LOL

Care to hear a secret? I used Photoshop for the more complex renders, that is, the ones that weren't already transparent .gif's or .png's and/or the ones from funky screenshots where simply eliminating the background wouldn't have done the trick (Padme, Greedo, General Veers, and a handful of others).

The sigs themselves were all put together in PowerPoint 2010, since composition work is much easier and cleaner there. :D I used faded semi-transparent gradient rectangles on the right sides of the sigs, semi-transparent lettering for the names, and a semi-transparent SW symbol font for the upper and lower borders. Then the backgrounds and character pictures were light/contrast-adjusted and color-corrected to either cool or warm schemes for consistency with eachother. Otherwise the characters would stand out way too much from their environment.
The final thing then makes its way into Photoshop where I get rid of the excess white pixels and render the small space above the sig transparent.

Love the new versions of PowerPoint. I use them more for graphical work than for what they're actually intended. :lol

I want a fat George Lucas butchering Star Wars with a meat cleaver as my sig.

Can it be done?

I have never tried PowerPoint. Sounds interesting though and I can see it being easier for some things for sure. Nice work. I will have to try it out.

Go for it! They've added so many photo-editing features and effects that I was hard-pressed not to work it into my compositional routine.

@DiFabio: You may want to see Devil_666 for that. You know why I can't do it...

...it's movie characters only. :D

Looks like I'll just have to make it myself.

EDIT:

Nice job with Powerpoint Blade. I used photoshop for my sig with basically the same concept (character, background, name etc.).

Wow Blade awesome job with all the differend caracters.
Surprised there haven't been requests for Tusken Raiders, Scout Troopers or Jawa's...

Still the Jar-Jar one is the coolest of all the sig's!!! :rotfl
