Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Ben could've told Luke the girl they were going to rescue was his sister. Or the name of his mom, or that she was ridiculously hot. He also forgot to tell Luke he's been hidden since birth from his *sshole dad because he's infected with midiclorians which allow him to control the force.

i can't help but think if that imperial cruiser gunner's supervisor would have let him get in some target practice on escape pods with no life forms we could have been looking at a whole different set of movies..........:dunno

I always figured that, since they knew they were looking for the plans, if a pod was unmanned they wouldnt want to destroy it so that they could at least confirm whether the plans had been jettisoned in the pod. Had the pod been carrying living cargo, then it would have been seen as too big a risk to take by letting it go.

At least thats the way I always saw it. Surprised they didnt send troops to at least "escort" the pod to wherever it landed though.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

when i first heard that Liam Neeson was playing a Jedi Master in the first Star Wars prequel, i was thrilled. i imagined his character seeing the potential in a teenage Anakin but also the threat. he would refuse to train him. his young naive apprentice, Obi Wan, so impressed with Anakin's talent would take it upon himself to secretly mentor him… Darth Vader would be Obi Wan's failure… Luke would become his New Hope… and he would do it right the second time by have a master train him.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Without going through the dozens of pages since i was last on here, as anyone posted this......i heard about a day or 2 back and i'll only post part of it so as not to spoil anything.

Story Treatment Episode VII by George Lucas

The Legacy of Anakin Skywalker

Set 35-40 years after Episode VI, Luke & Leia are Jedi knights restoring the order but theres only a dozen Padawan learners. Lando has been appointed President of the NR, Han & Chewie have gone off to find themselves at the far side of the galaxy.......

Hmmm interesting? predictable? boring? i'm not really sure what to make of it.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

It could even be the actual GL treatment, and it'd still be that. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I know, but i still get this feeling that whatever GL comes up with Disney will chuck it in to the nearest bin.
