Rose (no disrespect) came across to me as pleasing the Asian audience, right off the heels of RO.

And she definitely was for Asian market appeal.

I find it odd, since I don't think the Asian market cares if there is an Asian there or not. If any of the Asian countries is worth pandering to, that would be China, and Kellie Marie Tran is not Chinese.

I do admit I did like the look of Rose. Her hair style is another winner that fits within the SW universe. For Halloween you now have:

Leia’s Buns
Rey’s TFA look
Rose Bangs and Side hair look.

For me the problem with Rose's appearance isn't her hair or Kelly Marie Tran's looks, it's the Potato Sack they dressed her in.
Just imagine how popular Leia would've been if they put her in the same getup in ANH. (I'd Photoshop the image to prove the point but I don't have Photoshop)

Yes, I liked TLJ in isolation, but as a second-parter it utterly failed.

It's nice to be free of caring about it

I too am ready to hop off the bandwagon and pass the torch to the next generation. And I harbour no ill feeling. But LFL might have profited by keeping me (and fellow old-school fans) on-board.

Yeah, this film is full of contradictions. My biggest contradiction is when they say let go of the past yet they still save the ancient Jedi text. So let go of the past, but we should keep them around just in case.
