I'm trying to remember the plot of this one...was this the one with the writer living at the lake house where he has extreme writer's block?

Taped it, but didn't get time to watch it. With the second half tonight, I figured I'd just marathon the set.

I watched it last night, It wasn't that great. The plot was boring and bland, and the overall movie was very slow paced. Im hoping part 2 is better, but we'll see.

Every review I saw for this made it sound really crappy. I have it on the DVR but don't know if I will bother with it.

I watched about 45 minutes of it and told the wife she could watch whatever she wanted. It was boring bland and way too many commercial breaks.

Was not as engrossing as the novel. Part I was way too slow and Part II was way too fast. Good example of how not to do an adaptation of a novel.

wow, it wasn't a bag of bones but...

I've not read the book, so I could be wrong, but Brosnan seemed too old for the role. His scenes with Melissa George were uncomfortable to watch, he's got to be at least 20 years older than her.

After reading the book I can confirm the age difference was 30 years or something. I read the book ages ago and don't remember it very well. Won't bother with the mini film.

Bruce Willis about 5-8 years ago was being considered for the Mike Noonan role for a big screen adaptation. If Darabont had written the screenplay, THAT would have been a winner!

Hey......I don't see the problem. :yess:

I didn't mind it. But King's books rarely do well on TV.
