I loved the Sci-Fi channel back in the early-mid 1990s, so I would like to check this out. Anyone else remember Sci-Fi Buzz, with Harlan Ellison, and those great anime film showcases back when you could only get anime from specialty shops? Unfortunately, the channel now doesn't really resemble the channel way back when, and I don't care much for it anymore.

I hardly watch it anymore either

Watch the special, maybe you'll see what you're missing.

Playing repeats doesn't make sense for a cable channel any more. And not every show can be BSG.

I often times find myself getting sucked into the SyFy original movies. They are a guilty pleasure. And I like how I recognize many of the actors in them from other tv shows. Just the other day I saw one that had to do with Stonehenge and the end of the world. It had an actor from CSI: NY in it as well as an actor from Supernatural.

As far as series though....I haven't watched one on a regular basis since BSG.

I forgot about Stargate Universe. I really liked that show. I wish it would have lasted longer.

Watched it. It was pretty good - I enjoyed the bits about the different Stargate series and of course BSG.

I saw some footage from some of their mini series that I haven't seen (like Alice) that I would watch if they were ever on again. Glad they also covered some of their original movies....though none of my favorites were mentioned...Jabberwocky, Yeti...and of course the classic Rock Monster. :lol
