Yeah I can't say I understand the motive to remove this from the "history books" I would direct my energy towards current affairs rather than pissing about the past. It is "history" right?

There is no threat to learning about past history. Unfortunately and imo history always repeats itself so ...........

I'll tell you what's bull____. In Georgia they teach "intelligent design" as well as evolution. When I went to school here in Oregon, we learned all about slavery, but we never learned about the persecution of Native Americans during Manifest Destiny. Well, it is true that history from one culture's point of view is different from another's. The Crusades are a very good example of this. I can definitely see the point of "removing" the traditional Euro-centric manner of teaching the Crusades. That definitely should be reexamined.
