TBLeague PL2023-220 1/6 Scale Medusa

Surprised to not see a thread for this yet. Might be better to just make it into an Olympian thread at some point like the Egyptian Gods thread, which has had some great customs in the last few pages.

I’m excited to see a bit of different release with Medusa. The usual color variations but different heads for each. The giant snake tail is the real winner here. I’d have liked to have seen a green skinned version as one of the variations though. Some broken ‘statues’ on the base would have been cool but probably hard to incorporate on a small base needing room for the snake tail. I’m generally not one to order these figures but this one got my attention enough to order the gold version.

This one caught my eye as well.

Looks like it's a full seamless body that just slots into the snake tail base. Pretty clever concept, I'm just a bit skeptical about how it will work in reality. It feels like the body would tip over, or flop around, or just otherwise not be very sturdy.

The other thing that's got me confused is that I prefer the green snake heads, but not a fan of the green armor that comes with it. The silver armor looks better, but the black snakes on the head isn't as cool as the green snakes ... and I aint buying both just to mix and match.

These will undoubtedly get parted out by Toy Anxiety and others so it’s entirely possible to do some mix and matching. Funny, I prefer the gold version on the head and color choices. The red pops a bit too much for me but I think I’d probably prefer her to just be various shades of green head to tail

Is this a generic Medusa or supposed to be her from the terrible Clash of the Titans movie of about 10 years ago? I’m tempted by this either way, even though it can’t match a Harryhausen Medusa

Generic Medusa. And yeah, I think that’s why I’d really have preferred a green skinned version. The Harryhausen look is just so iconic and most versions are either some form of that or a sexed up version. This is kinda in the middle.

WOW - this Medusa looks incredible - honestly the whole idea of slotting the body into the snake tail is ingenious.
Definately going to get this - not sure which variant to go for - I like the colouring of the silver version but prefer the green head.
Either looks like a great choice.

Ok cheers. I have the StarAce Medusa and that will forever be my vision of her. This one looks glamorous.

Can anyone work out which version is silver and which is golden? It all looks the same to me, apart from one screaming and one normal face.

sometimes the color you want does not come with the head you want

I’m guessing the price difference is because of that big snake tail. Anything like that usually gets a good mark up in shipping area.
