Tell it to me straight, What are my chances?

During the Princess Leia as Boussh figure pre-order, I was at Wizard World in Chicago, which kind of sucked this year btw. I had no internet access, so I had a friend of mine try to order the figure. The servers were blown during the first part of the pre-order, so he gave up. I talked to him shortly later, and I asked him if he'd get me on the waitlist. He said did, but I guess he did it wrong or something because I wasn't on the Waitlist when I got home on Sunday.

I immediately put myself on the waitlist at about 2:00 in the afternoon on Sunday. My question is do I have a chance at all to get one of these figures from the Waitlist, or am I just out of luck? I really wanted that blaster for Leia because I always imagine her carrying a gun of some sort at all times.

Waitlists for 12" are very iffy. It's been over a month now so I'm going to have to say not likely. But there may be a few cancellations due to the price of the whole Jabba set up and they may not just want to get Leia so that's another factor in this. Not to mention this is the weakest exclusive offered for a 12". I'll most likely cancel mine to save $10. I'll never display her with it, so what's the point?

Boba Ben, if you're on the wait list already, that's all good. It's a good place to be if you didn't score it. But I wouldn't rely on that. I'm on the wait list for regular Anakin and a Luke. Nothing.

What area do you live in? I'm sure there are people here who can advise you on a local toy shop that will get a stock of them in for sale. Won't be the inclusive edition though.

As it gets closer to release date people will be forced to make a decision on wheather or not to cancel Leia. Some will cancel to afford another item, some will have no funds at the time. So your chances are good for Leia because she's not in one of her most popular outfits. I also am on a waitlist for Plo Koon. I totally forgot about the preorder but got on 6 hrs later. Btw, if anyone here plans on cancelling their Plo Koon exclusive PM me and we'll work something out.

THere is a high probability that you will get her. But in case you won't, we always have plenty of fellow Freaks selling some figures right after they ship.

I guess I'll just wait for Bespin Leia when they make her if I can't get Boussh with the gun. I live in Gurnee, Illinois. One guy sells the Star Wars figures about 40 miles away from me, but he doesn't order the exclusives at all.

Stores can't order the exclusive. Thats why it is an exclusive. The only way they can get the exclusive version is if they order it through their own personal account.

I hope all goes well for you though. Just curious, but why is Leia's blaster so important to you? It was never on screen. If it has some EU value than that might explain it, but it really is one of the weaker exclusives (with Anakin's being the weakest).

The sometimes have the exclusive version of the figures on their site. I got my Anakin and Obi-Wan is up now. They usually only charge like $70 for them which is fair since I pay around $70 from Sideshow once I get my figure double boxed.


and if all else fails go to ebay and you can find one for around $90 I would say.

I mentioned the store that doesn't carry the exclusives because Coheteboy had asked if there were any stores in my area that carry the exclusive versions. I was answering his question, but this is my first forum, so I forgot to put his thing in quotes. The reason I want the Leia Blaster doesn't really have anything to do with screen accuracy or EU significance. Everyone thinks it's the weakest, but the main reason I want it is because I want Leia to be able to shoot at people as much as she can bash them with the staff . I'm not a real stickler for screen accuracy or EU significance as long as I think the exclusive is cool. I guess what I'm saying is that I just want her to have a cool blaster pistol with her, and that's how I see the exclusive accessory.

I think Leia's gonna be one of those sleeper hits no one expects. I preordered mine simply because I've always loved the costume and it really has the potentential to be one of the best in the series. Once Jabba and the throne come out I think people will be clamouring for her to go with there set-ups, same goes for Bib.

But like others have said, with the costs of Jabba, the throne, and creature pack all weighing about the same time there's gonna be cancelled Leia orders everywhere. Not to mention she's coming out shortly after the holidays when a lot of people aren't even thinking about buying anything else.

Anyway, the point, yeah you've got a good sporting chance of getting her. And although it's the weekkest suggestion yet, should you not get the Exclu. you might find an old hasbro figure with a similar blaster that could work just as well. Just a thought.

Ha! I knew it. For being a "comic book store" Brian has got to have the biggest sellection of instock Sideshow figures in the Midwest. He's always had the best taste in ordering. If he ever figures out how to use the internets to do mail-order, he'd bury many of these on-line mom-and-pops.

Ive never had any luck on the waitlist, but folks here swear by it. If it were me, I'd:
1) Get your significant other a SS account. Your girl/guy is gonna ride for you on something like that WAY harder than any of your homeboys! Even your mom/dad probably would have made a better choice. I SO got the Luke exclusive by having my girl order it at work on a T1 line!

2) Dont past up the regular b/c you didnt get the inclusive. I know how you feel and Id be the same way, but get both ordered, if the inclusive WL pans out, cancel/sell the regular here or on ebay for cost+shipping.

3) Who knows, with SS not offering weapons packs for these, someone might just make them to sell. You can always search those super customizing folks out.
