Ever since I saw Optimus's shelves I knew I had to have them. Problem was Ikea here in the US did not carry the BESTA series until just now.

Optimus kindly pointed me in the right direction of all the things I needed and now I got one of my own. ( My camera sucks arse!)

Yes those are in the states now. The shelf alone was $129, the part that was a beatch was the glass doors which go for $49.99 each. The light set is about another $50 bucks, so $405 total.

Ikea won't ship any of the BESTA series so I had to drive 1 1/2 hours to go grab what I needed.

Looks great. I would note that you can get doors of a similar style for the IKEA Billy Bookcase now. I've got doors on my short billy's - I still need to grab the ones for the full size Billy's but they do look great.

I think the doors are called Morebo.

It kills me when I see cool setups like this. There's not a single Ikea in this entire state, and no other stores carry anything even close.

i love those cases and now that i finally have an ikea in the area i might get some. one question.... would you recommend putting them on a table or stand?? the one's on the bottom look like they might be hard to see the inside.
