Following the finale of Season 17 (spoiler alert), "The Amazing Race" officially announced that the 18th season would feature the return of fan-favorite teams.

The teaser trailer says, "They are some of the most memorable, dynamic, and interesting teams ever to run the race. They didn't come in first. Some didn't cross the finish line. But you love them anyway. For these teams, the 'Amazing Race' competition has always been unfinished business."

Teams shown in the promo include mother/son Margie and Luke, the Harlem Globetrotters Flight Time and Big Easy, dating Goths Kynt and Vyxin, father/son Mel and Mike, brothers/bull riders Cord and Jet, sisters/athletes LaKisha and Jennfer, poker players Maria and Tiffany, a capella singers Connor and Jonathan, father/daughter Gary and Mallory, father/son Michael and Kevin and home shopping hosts Brook and Claire, both from the most recent season

I'm actually pretty excited about this because these nutjob "all-star" casts are usually fun to watch interact.

I remember way on back when the Real World and Road Rules started getting stale, and they pulled this gimmick. Good for those who watch these kinds of things I suppose.

I like several of those teams. I really hate that some of the older seasons of Amazing Race (and Survivor) aren't on DVD. I can really use a refresher on some of these people. Jet and Cord are great.

I enjoy these "all star" seasons. I was hoping to see Boston Rob and Amber of Survivor fame.

Why are there 4 teams from the season that just ended? Can't they find anyone else to play again?

Shows with All-Stars seasons usually use that season as the point of no return, once they've had it it is really rare for them to go behind it to cast again. Not to mention that the four from this season were fun to watch for the most part. I can't say it was the same for some of the other seasons.

Season 17 was the first race i've ever watched (i know i suck :lol ) but i really enjoyed it! so i'm looking forward to this next race. :rock
