Looks like we're that much closer to confirming Alistair Smythe on the big screen.

Turns out that the new Marvel Minimates will include a 'rare' Alistair Smythe.

From ToyArk.com:

This is what I would like to see Marvel studios do next! Or Sony! Is the 2099 version licensed to Sony since the 616 version is?

Considering that Spider-man is pretty much established and people know the story, why not make something fresh and new and do the Miguel O'Hara spin-off in the future?

Marvel could tread new ground and be the first to bring one of their popular "alternate universes" to the big screen!!!

Oh, I don't know about that. You would still have Wayne in the movie, as a mentor to McGinnis. And it's the bat suit that they'll be drawn to, with Wayne just as an 'anchor' to the past. I think audiences could handle it.
