Broke and happy
They gave up on Superman.
Oh, I don't know about that. You would still have Wayne in the movie, as a mentor to McGinnis. And it's the bat suit that they'll be drawn to, with Wayne just as an 'anchor' to the past. I think audiences could handle it.
I like it as well.
Why make a Batman Beyond or Spider-man 2099 movie when so much can be done with the current versions of both characters? More than what can be done with Beyond and 2099 by far.
I agree to a certain extent, but I think some may feel it would be a refreshing 'break' from the norm and may attract a newer, broader audience.
WB can't even get Batman right. A live-action Beyond would be atrocious.

So who saw the trailer for this while watching DOS? What were your thoughts on the Emma Stone intro?
IF they did a batman beyond movie...
He'd be Bruce's Adopted son, who's mother Died in childbirth. His mother was Barbra Gordon. And his Father was the joker. He raped Barbra, after breaking her back with a crowbar.
I THINK that's Goyer-Nolan-ish enough, right?
Fixed
A batman beyond movie would make stuid amounts of money at the box office. It's basically an amalgamation or Batman & Spider-Man

I THINK that's an appropriate amount of grimdark for a DC movie about a goodguy, right?
