Some of those ideas wouldn't translate well in live action - let alone the stories.
Besides - the general population of movie goers don't want their Batman ****ed with too much.
Right, becuase The nolan films have so much in common with every other version we've seen on screens big and small.
Hence why the Nolan fanboys, and those who're completely ignorant of the character, dug the hell out of Nolan's trilogy whereas most Batman fans were highly disappointed.

That is false. There are so many nods to Batman Year One, Dark Knight Returns and the Long Halloween...

agree...many nods to Batman stories...just not enough to appease some(fanboys)
Batman willfully quitting, twice, and finally running off to Italy with Selina and leaving the cowl to Detective Blake, Bane being a midget and needing a face-thong inhaler after apparently being face-raped by inmates, Joker completely erased from existence, Gordon being a complete imbecile, soooooo many nods to the comics.
I guess you must have blinked in between those parts then?...again many of those things you mentioned sound very relatable to most humans...I supposed a CGI Bane coulda been done...Joker erased maybe because of HL's death...again.."Batman shoulda been done my way" mentality...cmon man...I'm not saying it was perfect(although BB and TDK was a close as could be)...but cmon...
I enjoyed the Nolan trilogy, but I always got the impression (and i think Nam may agree here or is already implying it) that Nolan was almost embarrassed to show that he is a comic book character after all
It was too grounded, there was never the chance that this could exist in a supernatural world or one of very far out science (no killer croc for example as opposed to ASM being able to ahve the lizard)
Superman could not have existed in this Batman universe. Even in MOS they call him Superman once, is he ashamed to be associated with comics?
That's my 2 cents anyway
perhaps you are right...In fact I will agree somewhat on that notion...very good...but for me(and the masses IMHO)they are the best Batman films made to date(even if not 100% true to lore)...We shall see what Afflecks Batman brings on to the screen
I'm quite looking forward to Affleck as Batman

I agree with this...The answer is ...because thats what Nolan did...its his film and did Batman his way....could be many reasons why the evolution to TDKR occuredI believe Bale even eluded to this in an interview. It really begs the question, why even bother with Batman? The first was so perfectly done and then slowly into the TDKR, completely perverting the character.
I have a question... If Nolan just did the second and third film without batman or names associated with batman or anything black would many here say things like "they took that from Batman" while watching this...would the guys that hated the films because of what Nolan did to Batman like it now?...just curious
Perhaps if WB had even labeled it an Elseworlds tale from the get-go instead of stamping that **** on it after news from TDKR started pissing off the core Batman fans, it would've been better received. Though, honestly, to me at least, what he did...it's still not really Batman. Honestly, if Nolan's intent going in was to fully *******ize the character, he could've and should've done something more along the lines of Unbreakable's "real world" superheroes, which would've been perfect.
