Though Comparing TWS to ASM2 feels like comparing The Manchurian Candidate to Toy Story.
They look and feel so different, no one will be better than another, just a different kind of good.
Why thank you, Captain Obvious! Who knew that WWII hero and teenage vigilante are not the same...

TWS is an adaptation that doesn't ashamed of its source material.
So far TASM2 feels just like TASM - mediocre romcom-drama that tries to be a SH CBM.

:exactly:

Theres no reason they should feel the same, but be ready for it, the comparisons are going to happen.

Well, it appears that the mention of Cletus Kasady in that Daily Bugle viral may have meant something after all, as The Amazing Spider-Man 2 producers Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad have now strongly hinted at an appearance from Carnage in the planned spin-off for Venom. Check it out!

It's interesting to watch his reaction, while Matt Tolmach's response was equally as vague but just as intriguing. "Exactly. The idea of Venom and Carnage… taking it into consideration. Watch out for this Venom movie. We are crazy excited." While that's not confirmation either way, it does sound as we should expect to see the insane Cletus Kasady make an appearance. After all, it's hard to think of a better foe for Eddie Brock...not including Spider-Man that is! What do you guys think? Be sure to sound off with your thoughts on this news below.

Sweet Mercy yes Carnage. Been waiting to see him on the big screen

This doesn't surprise me. If they go through with the Venom movie I never once thought they would do anything else but Venom and Carnage. Who else could Venom fight that's a headline villain? I'm not expecting them to put Spider-man villains in a venom movie so that leaves Carnage and the other venom children, but I doubt we'll see the others beyond Carnage.

Leaving Carnage for the Venom movie makes sense, it would be the main reason people go see the movie since he's never made an appearance in any film to date.

Venom will come before spidey 4 so that definitely means that spidey 3 will feature the symbiote.

Yup I wonder how they'd pull this one off.

In the Ultimate Universe(which i guess this series is pulling from) Peter's dad created Venom as a way to fight Cancer I think. It has been a while since i read the story. But I do remember both Venom and Carnage are the result of Pete's dad's research. And Cletus was not Carnage. Carnage didn't have a host if I remember correctly. I hope they use the actual comic suit. All black with the white spider symbol. I am rooting for this film. I didn't like ASM, but I like Spidey as a character. Hope this one is better.

Correcto-mundo Zan. Carnage tho, was a clone made from Peter's DNA that was bonded with Venom at the time. Then Carnage got loose and... killed... oh god... is that the plot for ASM3???

I remember who he killed but

Gwen is still alive in the Ultimate Universe. In fact she was kind of instrumental in getting the new Spider-Man, Miles Morales, into the suit. Her and may even give him Peter's web shooters. How did she come back cause I stopped reading for a bit when they killed her?

Well I stopped after Miles was introduced so I know that much but

Carnage was shape shifting back and forth between itself and Gwen. It was said Carnage absorbed Gwen's DNA when she was stabbed. Carnage got loose from the Triskelion while Pete was pressuring Fury to let Gwen go. Somehow Venom/Eddie got involved and Venom absorbed Carnage into itself due to Carnage being somewhat it's clone, while leaving the Gwen part behind.

It was a very interesting story
