Really disappointed that JJJ is only mentioned. :(

I don't know how there could too much comedy, imo, Spidey's level of jokes should be just a notch below Deadpools.

Be interested to read more peoples thoughts as they come in, we still have a couple weeks wait here. :gah:

I'm curious where people are seeing this movie being "torn apart everywhere" or it getting "so many bad reviews", because it isn't. It really isn't. If people have an existing problem with this movie before they've even seen it, don't try and make it so that your prejudice is justified by the general consensus to this movie. Because it isn't.

Gets an 8/10 from me, my second favourite Spidey movie now after Spider-Man 2. Definitely felt like it was the most "comic book" Spider-Man movie so far. I'm looking forward to seeing where they take this franchise.

A few people on the web said it was.

From some of the reviews I read, the main complaint was more about the quality of the jokes than the quantity of them. Some people are saying the jokes are cringe worthy, and others are saying their great.

If you use tumblr watch out for spoliers. Some *** Took a pic of a Major important scene and put it in the spidey tag.

O yea btw Tumblr seems to love the film but the majority of tumblr are hardcore marvel fans so we'll see. I dont think this will be the best spidey film now that im seeing reviews but im sure its no batman and robin. Wonder what Nova thinks.

Case in point. A "few" people say they don't like it, when the majority of cinema-goers DO like it. Yet the people who want this movie to fail and/or have already made their minds up before even seeing it decide to turn those "few" people into a unanimous concencus of negativity towards the movie to justify their own feelings.

It happens everywhere, and it's a joke.

Yea thats true. Theyre still lots of people who want spidey to go back to marvel, same goes for xmen.

See the film, THEN decide whether it's the best Spider-Man movie. Just an idea.

There are so many people who have a problem with this series being made in the first place, and therefore automatically disregard TASM and TASM2 as "crap" or "garbage" rather than basing their judgement on the movie's merits alone. Like or not, the series was rebooted, and we now have a new series of Spidey flicks. Deal with it. If people GENUINELY dislike the movies due to their quality, then fair enough, but they shouldn't just slam slam slam them because you have an attachment to the Raimi series.

I enjoy both the Raimi movies, and now the Webb movies; and that's allowed!

Just thoght I'd paste my post from the "Review" thread...

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - 8/10

My second favourite Spider-Man film after "Spider-Man 2". It is the most 'comic-booky' and 'fun' Spider-Man movie so far, yet at the same time the most emotional. Some of the scenes and dialogue could've literally been ripped out of a comic book page, almost as if I was watching a very crisp and fluent motion comic.

Andrew Garfield continues to put his own, very enjoyable, stamp on the Peter Parker/Spider-Man character. He acts, behaves, speaks JUST LIKE Spidey in the comics. To quote Harry Osborn; Garfield "...does everything... that a Spider can". Emma Stone is irresistable as Gwen Stacy. Jamie Foxx does a good enough job as Electro; not amazing, but not bad by any means. The REAL villain of this movie is Dane DeHaan / Harry Osborn. He oozes Osborn filth. Truly a great interpretation of the character. We also see a more in-depth and emotional relationship between Peter and Aunt May in this movie, and there is a lovely scene where May expresses her love for Peter and how she sees him as her son, as her boy.

I am really looking forward to where they take this franchise next.

:goodpost::lecture its true in a few years this will be rebooted wonder if this will still be hated as it is now.

Is everyone reviewing the actual film, or just Jyes version he pieced together from all the clips and trailers???

Heard Webb took out out scenes what you see in the trailer isn't what you see in the movie.
