Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

The movie was good. But lemme be frank about it, Captain America is the only goofy looking creature in the screen when his helmet is on. Believe what you want about that costume--convince yourself that it's not a big deal, that the action sequence will eventually mask it somehow, but for me that helmet/head gear(whatever it is) doesn't work at all. I thought it would have grown on me by the time i watch the film or finished watching it. well, it didn't. I'm so glad "somebody" decided to remove it. It was so uncomfortable watching Cap on screen with that abomination on his head.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Just came back from the movie and it was everything i could've hoped for! Going into it I thought it may have been the RDJ show but full credit to Joss he kept an amazing balance between all the characters. Bring on Phase 2!

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

so you think it was...

thanos and not the red skull?

bunch of us were arguing about it at 3am in the morning. lolz

Of course it was Thanos. The line "to fight the avengers is to court death" was a hat tip to Thanos' infatuation with the entity Death in the Comics. Hopefully this means it involves the infinity gauntlet.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Personally I was surprised how many little humourous little bits got thrown in without making it cheesy. Quite a few laugh out loud moments - and mostly from the Hulk of all characters!

Loved when

Loki tries to make some speech about being better than everyone, but Hulk just picks him up mid-sentence and smashes him around the room.

:lol

:gah: :gah: :gah:

I am not reading spoilers, but it's killing me to wait.

By the way, extremely jealous of anyone that gets cool Avengers stuff from the film. I hope Drafthouse does something cool.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

It's killing me not clicking on spoiler tags. My anticipation is peaking and I've still got more than a week to go.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Just saw the film! Best super hero movie yet! I was surprised to see
I was surprised to see Thanos after the mid credits! And by the way regarding on Cap's new costume, I didn't got the same wow factor on his new suit, unlike the first one..

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

CURSE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wont do it...I wont click any spoiler tags.

But I cannot leave this thread. It simply cannot be done.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

You know you can check out whats in the pack before buying them right? Punch the hole in the carry handle area, and turned the can around until you can see what is on the can :duh They won't be any different. They will all be the same can in the pack.

Did that all the time when Phantom Menace came out. Couldn't care less about the cans nowadays though. :lol

Hahaha how could people not think to do that

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I have to tip my hat to those who are remaining "Spoiler Free", I've clicked on them and all except

Agent Coulson dying

has me more psyched than ever to hit my theater on May 5th. That and the fact that my movie theater has White Castle.

Man, I'm so glad that part wasn't spoiled for me...I would've been pissed.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Yeah even though I was clicking spoilers, I remember that spoiler was just openly posted without regard to anyone who hasn't seen the film or heard about it. It was jawdropping. I'm over it but I can imagine those of you who are trying to remain "fresh" are probably fairly pissed still.
