Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I'm just going off what THR was reporting which was that JL reshoots = the same amount as RO reshoots.

But yes it can also be wrong.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

A lot of movies do extensive reshoots sometimes it turns out good, sometimes not. But I'm wondering if the JL re shoots are because it helped the story or in response to the success of Wonder Woman? And Whedon, although he is a good director, is definitely different than Snyder. It will be interesting to see how both styles mix.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I would guess that since Whedon is just a male Patty Jenkins that WB must be happy with their decision.

Not like there's any mystery to this WB CEO flat out said that WW has absolutely influenced their new direction as any compass would do when someone is lost.

So i'm sure reshoots are part of that shift in tone.

Whedon is a great weapon for WB to use against Marvel.

Lets see who's better, the Russo's or that girl Whedon.

Personaly I think IW will crush JL in the action department.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Massive reshoots? They did not reshoot a damn thing. They've done additional footage. You are twisting facts into a another pile of horse ****.

This is just one that was made post WW RT % success:

In a new interview with The Wrap, DC Entertainment president Geoff Johns says that future DC movies will be less dark, more fun, and truer to the characters that inspired them. That's an approach we can definitely get onboard with.

Says Johns:

“Get to the essence of the character and make the movies fun. Just make sure that the characters are the characters with heart, humor, hope, heroics, and optimism at the base.”

As The Wrap correctly points out, this is essentially the same approach Patty Jenkins took with Wonder Woman: gone was the faux-edgy darkness of previous DCU films, replaced with vibrant color, an abundance of personality, actual humor (humor, for the love of god!), and a faithful representation of the character at its center. With audiences everywhere responding so strongly to Jenkins' film, it's no surprise that WB might want to adopt this approach moving forward. Here's hoping that turns out to be the case.

lololol

Guilty as charged lol

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

IF it's true JL is getting huge reshoots it must have been pretty Snyder dark(which I love). I hope the "new" film it becomes is good and special and not Avengers 5.0 DC-style

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Johns is a moron. WW was safe, lighthearted crap for 14-year-old girls.

100% a reactionary move by the ********* at Warner to replicate the kid-friendly MCU tone.

Right on:clap

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Dark obviously didn't work for WB.

They tried it and now they're moving on.

He's not a moron if he fixes the problem.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

WW isn't dark, but it sure ain't SNIKT's dearly loved light hearted disney MCU.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

So SHUT UP all you that claimed he's leaving:lol- cripes how many times do we have to read those stupid posts

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Huh? I wanted him to stay, Zach.

Rumors were resolved just like I said they would be, but it's naive to think he didn't try to leave after all dealt with after BvS, as far as that goes, rumors were probably right.
