The Beatles Official Project Thread

Hey Guys,
Enough with the fits and starts. If enough Guys show real interest we can get a set of 4 Heads Sculpts to make a set of the Beatles. I don't want to reveal who the Sculptor I contacted is but you all know his work well here on the boards. Hint... who ya gonna call?

Now, I know many of you have different preferences for various eras so to start things off, this Project will intially be dedicated to the Fab Four, that is Beatles '64-66.

Once we get that going, and it CAN get going fairly soon... we can move on to Different Eras.

Again, this is just for the heads right now, but hopefully we can get someone to make the suits. There are also 1/6 Guitars out there and I know some freaks like Pix already sourced boots and other articles in the past. This is not that tough Guys, and a Beatles Set has NEVER been done that I know of.

Seriously, if there's enough interest... BANG, Mop Tops will roll... finally.

So, let this thread serve as General Interest and reference material of the Sullivan Era Beatles 64-66 to get things rolling and then maybe we can get to era Variants...

We never tried to do a SET of heads before. Just a Lennon Head and that never materialized because No One sculpted it.

We now have A Sculptor who will if there's enough interest and there was plenty before, so there should be now.

Batty, you can dedicate it to me then.

I saved this pic of a Lennon Fig on ebay someone did years ago...

I may go with simple dark suits, like they wore at the Royal benefit Concert in London. Speaking of suits, I'm sure someone like Seb or Ryan could do them. Many to choose from, the collarless Cardin suit, Grey suit with lapel trim from the first US Tour, etc... but a simple dark suit might be easiest...

The only 12" Beatles figs done to my knowledge were the Hamilton Figs, licensed by Apple. They weren't articulated, and were simple mold pieces but.... if it gets tough finding a Drum set for Ringo, the Hamilton set might work.

Yeah, If Spenser decides to do these I'm sure he'll offer them separately as well. I'm in for a set.

I wonder if he might offer heads with hair too. Might be pretty Cool.

I'd probably do my own in the future anyway just for practice and 'cause I'm a fan... but if these can get done now??? then take the chance and run

Id prefer the 69 Beatles, but regardless, id be in for a set of '64.

I think there's really no doubt about the level of interest in Beatles heads, but we're going to keep the lines open for now.
