I was out shopping recently in Tulsa, OK (about 1 1/2hrs away from my home) when I seriously scored the best string of deals in my days as a collector.

First off I went to a store I frequent called Vintage Stock, and while I was perusing their Star Wars items I came across a Micro Collection (the diecast sets from '82 and 83') Millenium Falcon, complete and in great shape for $19.99! I've been looking for this ship for years and complete ones typically sell closer to $100. So needless to say I was feeling pretty good about that sweet deal.

Well, I next went to the next mall only expecting to come across something new at a Hot Topic or FYE. But I decided to stop in a store called "Can You Imagine", this is that store every mall has with life sized statues of the Blues Brothers, Kitchy tin-signs and random crap. But they also have figures... anyway as I'm walking over to the section of 10 or so 1/6 figures I spy a 2 (not just 1) boxes that says "The Mummy", not believing a store in 2007 would have 2 Sideshow Mummies I figure it must be an Ardeth Bey or a figure some other company. But to my joy it was 2 MISB Sideshow Mummy figures for $39.99 each!!! Not only that, but there was a buy one, get one free deal going on so I got both (after taxes) for $43.50!!!

So in total I got about $400 worth of figures, for about $65!!!

I could have pretty easily flipped both of these Mummy figures, or even one and made a pretty nice profit on the day. However, in keeping with Karma, I kept one for myself and gave the other to my buddy Nate as a late Christmas present! With a string like that I don't want to upset any Gods of chance :lol

All in all it was by far the best deals in one day of my collecting... anyone else have good deal stories out there?

Geez, you must be shopping in some time/space vortex where everything costs what it did 7 years ago. SCARY!!! The people that are selling these items must still have pulse phone service and think eBay is a place where they store the steers after auction. YEEEEEHAWWWW!!! Congrats!!!

Vintage Stock...Ah,yes. Still on my toy run. Only an hour away from where I'm at. That was an awesome find, glad you got'em!

Makes me want to take a trip there right now. Which Vintage was it? I usually go to the one near Toys R Us, can't remember the street.

Not one, but 2 Okie responses! Impressive... the mall was Woodland Hills, and the Vintage Stock was in fact the one behind Toys R Us on Memorial, near 71st. I'm in Stillwater, where are you guys located?

I guess there are like 4 Vintage Stocks in Tulsa now, and one in OKC (near Tinkers AFB). I haven't found much there lately and they seem to be raising their prices, so the Falcon was a very welcome surprise :rock

I'm in Stillwater also. I must drive there faster than you though:lol . Yeah I was surprised to see your Okie post, let alone another reply.

Just remember I'm nearby next time you want to spread some of that good fortune around.:D

:lol I try and stay at around 80 on the turnpike... but it still takes a bit to get all the way to Memorial and 71st :monkey3

That's an awesome score Galactiboy! I've never been lucky enough to find something like this. The closest I came was when I won a contest from Sideshow for two FVJ 12" figures. As time went on I didn't hear anything from them. A few months later I asked and they forgot about me. They said they didn't have the Jason 12" figure I won so they asked if there was another I wanted, I said the long soldout exclusive Faith figure with the Slayer Scythe and they said they'll send it out to me as soon as possible. Strange to say that, I was very glad to have been forgotten.
I can't understand why so many people want the Mummy figure so badly, the thing can't move at all.
