I was curious so I did the same thing with my eight year old who loves any and all SW:

1. Do you like Boba Fett? Do you think he's cool?
He’s ok. I guess.

2. What do you like about him?

Not sure.

3. Who do you like better, Jango or Boba?

Probably like them the same, they are basically the same.

4. If Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Din Djarin, and Cad Bane were all in their prime and facing off against each other in a cemetery like at the end of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly who do you think would go down first? Who would be the last man standing?

Cad Bane because he doesn’t have armour.

5. If all four bounty hunters were hunting you who'd you be the most worried about?

Mando he seems to be the best at his job.

6. If you had to pick one of the four bounty hunters to keep you alive who'd you choose?

Mando he seems to be the best at his job.

7. Who do you think would do the best against a squad of Stormtroopers?

Mando. Whistling birds dad.

8. If you were a SW character and had to hire a bounty hunter to go get someone who would be your first choice?

Mando.

8. Who do you think looks the coolest?

Cad Bane with his hat.

Lol, I’m not really surprised by his responses. He’s enjoying BoBF but clearly prefers Mando.
That's awesome! :rock

Yeah I'm sure if most of us had been exposed to Mando when we were kids he'd be one of our top faves as well.

Just when I thought that they had nowhere to go after candy colored Vespa gang they go and give us a bald Boba Fett dressed like Friar Tuck crashing around a kitchen while chasing a little rabbit droid. Then out of every single character that has ever existed in Star Wars he chooses *that droid* to menacingly declare his own name to. Holy crap I cannot stop laughing, what oh what can possibly be next. :lol

Oh and EV-9D9 still has a day job at Jabba's Palace and only moonlights at the Mos Eisley cantina? WTF?
Canto bight, Rose Tico, Space Leia, Maz and salt tasting are looking better and better every single Wednesday!

OK, following Khev's lead, I went ahead and asked my "kid" the same questions...

1. Do you like Boba Fett? Do you think he's cool?

He's an *****.

2. What do you like about him?

Did you hear what I said?

3. Who do you like better, Jango or Boba?

Django is way cooler, and black.

4. If Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Din Djarin, and Cad Bane were all in their prime and facing off against each other in a cemetery like at the end of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly who do you think would go down first? Who would be the last man standing?

Boba dies first because there's no girl there to help him. Last man standing would be Din.

5. If all four bounty hunters were hunting you who'd you be the most worried about?

Cad Bane because he'd kill your ***.

6. If you had to pick one of the four bounty hunters to keep you alive who'd you choose?

Mando is the nicest and not an *****.

7. Who do you think would do the best against a squad of Stormtroopers?

The Boba Fett from Mando... before he died in that Bacta Tank.

8. If you were a SW character and had to hire a bounty hunter to go get someone who would be your first choice?

Mando.

8. Who do you think looks the coolest?

Cad Bane... because he looks different than the others.

That's awesome! :rock

Yeah I'm sure if most of us had been exposed to Mando when we were kids he'd be one of our top faves as well.

I can guarantee my ten year old would have similar responses! Just more articulate. He doesn’t even like ESB!

Must be adopted :)

Boba's goofy death in ROTJ makes more sense with this version of Boba. I'm pretty sure his one and only good showing in Empire was a complete fluke, and he actually lucked out by catching the Falcon. I'm even thinking Vader's threat about "no disintegrations" was because Boba Fett had a reputation, ...
More likley he just meant- try not to shoot yourself!
And again Fett didn't even catch the Falcon, he just followed it out of the trash. Then told Vader where they were headed, it's Vader who actually caught them.
So we learn Fett's biggest skill was really just hiding in the trash.
Next we see him he's bumbling around on the sand skiff, and falling into the Sarlaac.

His rep was purely fan built.

Then out of every single character that has ever existed in Star Wars he chooses *that droid* to menacingly declare his own name to. .... :lol
He probably figured the word would multiply real fast! :wink1:

Boba was probably drifting with the trash because he couldn't get his ship started and then lucked out when the Falcon appeared.

New ESB: "Put Captain Solo in the cargo hold...and could you show me how to work the clutch again."

"Yo Lando hold that elevator door for me--aaaand it's locked."

While The Mandalorian was far from perfect, it now looks like a masterwork compared to the absolute mess this show is. Even Boba Fett himself seems like a different guy when you compare him in the two series.

Who wants to watch a series about an infamous "ruthless bounty hunter" who now wants to become an underworld crime lord, on a planet known for "scum and villainy", when that same "ruthless bounty hunter" is really a dim-witted, incompetent bumbler who loves puppies, wants to clean up the streets and help wayward teens get their lives back on track?

It's like what Boba Fett really wants to do is run a grass roots campaign for Mos Espa City Counsellor. This show is so mind-boggling. Every episode is chock full of "what the hell were they thinking" moments, that all I could do was shake my head. This is what they chose to do with Boba Fett after 40 years?

I'm even thinking Vader's threat about "no disintegrations" was because Boba Fett had a reputation, not for being a cool badass, but because he'd bungled bounties for Vader before and accidentally killed his quarry.
It's almost like Favreau felt Boba was so inherently badass that there was no need to actually have him doing badass things in the show. Apparently all that's necessary is just to have him wear the armor and declare "I am Boba Fett" every chance he gets. 😄

Because I don’t accept this Fett as the real Boba I found that I enjoyed this episode. Way more then the last two. Yes Fett has no balls.. they got melted off by the Sarlacc. But episode felt more in line with the SW universe as far as look and feel.

I don’t like misunderstood Sandpeople and I don’t like 1980 teen gangs that look like they are inspired by the poster art of Class of 1984.

Guess that’s why I’m good with episode 1 and 4

This reminds me of the time years ago, when I read some online poll about who the best bounty hunters were considered to be. Then they were going back and asking people why they voted the way they did.

More than one person added Dengar to the list, and when asked why those people replied with a version of, "Because of that thing on his head! Its so cool! Dengar is a badass!" Not his skills or his reputation, the fact that he wears a headwrap. That was it.

I wasn't really back into SW then like I am now, but even then I remember thinking, "Y'all. WTF." LOL
