No lashing out because it wouldn't surprise me. This would have been a completely plausible scenario at the end of Mando season 2...before the dark times...before Boba became Shemp Howard... If they try that crap now they're going to ruin Mando and Boba in one 7 episode series!
So you’re saying it’s definitely happening. :lol

I also couldn't help but notice Din barely fire his weapons, where he used to be a shoot first, ask questions later kinda guy.

They really put the emphasis on the Darksaber and melee fighting in general, which to me goes right along with these seemingly new Disney Star Wars guidelines: brutal violence is OK as long as it's not gun violence. I expect to see more of that hand to hand, beat each other with clubs and sticks and whatever's laying around the kitchen in both Mando and BoBF going forward.

So, we went from "Han shot first" to "Han shot second" to "Han didn't shoot at all". God help us if they do a Disney SE of the OT...

I hope Mando doesn't lose the guns. They're a big part of what makes him great. Also, he literally goes berserk with the E-Web in S1. :lol

One question…

Mando is no longer a Mandalorian why did the armorer allow him to keep the darksaber I thought she was going to confiscate it from him.

I'd say stabbing a guy with a knife, throwing him on a table and then executing him by bisecting him AND THEN cutting off his head is worse than shooting him :lol. He was in an enclosed space though so melee was the way to go really.

Fennec gunned down a bunch of losers in the Salve I flashback, I think it's just Boba thats a wuss.

And it was awesome and goes with the lore from Rebels about needing to be one with the sword. Something I always appreciate about the character - Badass but human. IMO this episode had everything I could want from small stuff like Mando being exasperated to being reluctant about the ship to Mechanic Lady and cute robots to a spectacular new environment to the harsh code of the Mandalorians and BADASSERY. Did a great job setting up the tension of what it means to be Mandalorian. This is the Way.

Are we sure the same people are making the Boba show? Was expecting more of the cesspit and get something amazing. Is this some weird thing where Favreau is trollling fans?
Yes! That was great to see the Darksaber background being explained. It makes Bo look crazy though to wish for it again after essentially bringing ruin to her home world and people. Makes sense she never took it seriously since it is part of the Way traditional hardline approach of Mandalorian culture. She lost her chance and it seems very likely that Din would become Mandalore. He already defeated Vizsla descendant when it looked like he would fail. That must be foreshadowing for his inevitable rise to power. Before BOBF, I thought Boba may eventually become Mandalore but that won’t be happening now based on his trouble to be a crime lord.

I can’t believe I just watched an episode of a show titled Boba Fett where
half of the run time was about Mando building a hot rod with a human woman who beds Jawas not just one either because they do everything as a unit!!!

Show: Boba Fett

Starring: No Boba Fett but Mando and a woman who gang bangs Jawas

About: Car and Driver Motortrend enthusiasts muscle car edition.

Subplot: Heavy Mando one second family next second wanting to murder you for your sword.

Verdict: What did I just watch it was freaking awesome and insane!

OK, don't everyone lash out at me all at once, but it just occurred to me that maybe we're being set up for the ultimate bait-and-switch: As Din misses Grogu and is clearly reluctant to claim the mantle of leader of Mandalore (and he is resisting becoming one with the Darksaber), could Boba Fett somehow "best" him in combat at the end of the season and claim the Darksaber? I laughed out loud typing that last part, but I could see that as a way of (a) bringing out the ruthless Boba everyone has been expecting and (b) satisfying the character's desire to be the one in charge. IDK, I could see the blade amplifying his pent up hostility & vice-versa. And probably even Boba is smart enough to realize that an army of Mandalorians (or just one, for that matter) will offer him more protection than the Mos Vespa gang. :lol

Morrison Fett will channel all that fat aggression and prevail.
