I can’t believe I just watched an episode of a show titled Boba Fett where

half of the run time was about Mando building a hot rod with a human woman who beds Jawas not just one either because they do everything as a unit!!!

Subplot: Heavy Mando one second family next second wanting to murder you for your sword.

Verdict: What did I just watch it was freaking awesome and insane!

Well Grogu is almost 100% going back with Din since Peli retrofitted the droid port for a small passenger.

Luke being a legacy hero character I'm sure Lucasfilm has reverted him back to being the loser deadbeat foster parent they always intended to make him be.

I'm not a big fan of the darksaber because it's all leading up to Bo Katan kicking Mando's *** in the end. That is the way....of Kennedy.

Mando is no longer a Mandalorian why did the armorer allow him to keep the darksaber I thought she was going to confiscate it from him.

He still won it in battle, I guess. You can't just take the saber, you have to earn it or something, right?

He still won it in battle, I guess. You can't just take the saber, you have to earn it or something, right?

Good thing he didn't have to duel the Armorer. I don't think a female character has lost a fight since Kennedy took over.

He went to the little Boba's room but then was stumped by the door lock and couldn't get out without Fennec's assistance.

OK, don't everyone lash out at me all at once, but it just occurred to me that maybe we're being set up for the ultimate bait-and-switch: As Din misses Grogu and is clearly reluctant to claim the mantle of leader of Mandalore (and he is resisting becoming one with the Darksaber), could Boba Fett somehow "best" him in combat at the end of the season and claim the Darksaber? I laughed out loud typing that last part, but I could see that as a way of (a) bringing out the ruthless Boba everyone has been expecting and (b) satisfying the character's desire to be the one in charge. IDK, I could see the blade amplifying his pent up hostility & vice-versa. And probably even Boba is smart enough to realize that an army of Mandalorians (or just one, for that matter) will offer him more protection than the Mos Vespa gang.

If Boba Fett wins it and takes the saber from Mando....wtf, this feels like some wrestling ****, I'm expecting Hulk Hogan to challenge Mando next. Anyway, if BF wins it, he'll just be holding it for Bo Katan, because she will get her own show, and she will win that saber in battle. So, you know what, I rather see Boba lose to Bo than Mando. Leave Mando alone.

I like how Fennec was all smiles with Mando. It's like she remembered what a real man looked like when she saw him.

Well this episode made one thing clear, the problem with the Boba Fett show, is Boba Fett.
Cause this Episode without him, was the absolute best!

Episode definitely made me realize how much I miss Mando and his story line. And that we've been spinning wheals with Boba.
Even with how intentionally pedestrian they made Mando riding public transportation, elevators, taking the bus, and the longest dragged out at the mechanic montage/(toy commercial).

Every single moment was still more compelling than anything in the Bobo show.

Not only does Mando's (and possibly Grogu's) story continue here, his "ship", the spectacular new location of what survived of his Covert, we get full exposition (and some stunning visuals) and flashback about the past history and fate of Mandalor, the Darksaber, and the episode reinforces Mandos quest going forward.

Seeing him wield, claim the right to, and train with the Darksaber, and everything that sets up, is fantastic.

That his instinct is still to want armor to take to little Grogu, was embarrassingly heart warming.
And that along with everything else, speed and muscle, the new ship has a suspiciously designed canopy to showcase maybe a little passenger, brought me pure joy

This ep. in case it wasn't obvious from the title : Return of the Mandalorian, . is a must watch, non Bobo ep, and a defacto Mando ep, 16.5 / opener for Mando S3.
Do not miss it.

H^ll, I immediately 1) watched it again and 2) had a raging urge to order Mando V3 for that shiny, shiny Beskar.

And I like the Mechanic - she's exactly the kind've brash business owner I'd expect to be scratching out a living. And Mando and her working together was a faint, heartwarming nod IMO to working with Kuiil and also for me adds to the character - Din D'jarin isn't afraid to get his hands dirty.

And I was left to wonder if the clan leader Armorer is playing a very deep game - maybe a tie back to long ago when blacksmiths were considered to be magicians of a sort, and were very secretive about how they worked metals. No way to know. But she basically sent Mando to a place where, potentially, he might end up as a leader of all of Mandalore. If he survives.

In any case am glad I own that figure.

Dunno by maybe eventually we'll see Din D'jarin briefly spar with Luke or other; I could see him sneak in someplace to try to see Grogu and running into a protective Jedi, until it gets sorted out.

This show had such great flow from tension/action to these homey mundane details. "Rich" is the word I keep thinking of. Like a mini-movie was packed into a single show.

I don't think Disney or anyone deliberately set out to build up Din D'jarin over Boba. Personally think - since re the Boba show it's obvious SOME thought and care was done; like the incest Twins, the Tuskens, the Rancour IMO look great - think it's a director fail. Some of the problems with Boba are editing and pacing.

Like I thought watching Mechanic and Mando work on the ship was enthralling; but watching Boba get his armor put on was just trying to imitate Iron Man and fell flat zzzzzzz. With Boba I can see glimmers of what the show could have been. Then u get BS like the Candy Riders. Slow motion fights that look staged. Somewhere with Boba there's a serious lack of imagination. But, we can assume Boba will be present in future Mandalorian shows at least. Favreau isn't stupid. They can work overtime to reset the character to what we saw in Mando Season 2.
