But seriously; whilst the callback is awesome, and there’s obviously now room for ‘you know who’; is there ANY other storage space on that thing?!

Saw this yesterday, and while being a lot better than all the other episodes, and Mando being a lot cooler and interesting than Boba Fett, it wasn't that great.
The entire opening sequence on the Ringworld was excellent, but once Mando got to Tatooine it lost quite a bit of momentum. The entire montage of building the ship was a bit boring, and the escapade to test it felt a bit like filler. Still, as I said, much much better episode than all the others, and that is mostly because Mando acts like what Boba Fett is supposed to be, while Boba Fett acts like, well, I don't even know how to express the depths of pathetic idiocy of the current Boba Fett.
And, as others have said, it is a nice love letter to TPM.

Feels like they wanted to set up Mando S3 and decided to drop it in here. It very loosely ties in with Boba by having Fennec show up to ask for his help.

It acts as a fun prelude for Mando S3 and keeps us Mando fans wanting more.

This series has the stink of Kathy and the Story Group Gang all over it.

Embarrassed and upstaged by Mando seasons 1 and 2 she has no doubt come down on Favloni hard and OT legacy character Boba Fett is the sacrificial lamb who must pay the price. Boba as a character is being completely assassinated, made to look a buffon and upstaged by everyone else including his strong female side kick. Strong women have been a staple of the Favloni-verse but never at the expense of the male and / or legacy characters who were also allowed to shine and be treated respectfully.

Boba is the male legacy character in this show and he is being shown the ST character treatment times a million. The inclusion of Khev's mod gang (to capture that young hip audience) and Kathleen's favourite self insert character model / stereotype leaves no doubt. But if there was any, just check out the overt re-naming of Slave 1. I can smell the stink.

I'd wager that episode 5 didn't get any scrutiny and was just allowed to be because it didn't involve Boba and was essentially a side quest for Mando - probably why it's so much better. It just feels like Favloni are giving the equivalent of the Star Wars middle finger to KK and the story group. Not only are they demonstrating that a show with her direct involvement is dank farrik but then they have this episode to directly contrast it to successful Mando which was without her.

This is all speculation of course but if it smells like bantha poodu, looks like bantha poodu then there is no doubt that KK and the story group gang are behind it (see the ST and high republic).

Lemme get this straight - so only the tip of the spear is beskar?
Not from what I recall; if I'm not mistaken these writers will just go ahead and retcon anything. It's not like they care about these scripts. Or continuity. Or internal logic ... or ...

If i remembered correctly, he used the spear‘s middle part to block a lightsaber / darksaber didnt he? Wouldve cut through if it wasnt beskar.

did the armorer melted the spear into such a tiny amount of beskar?
