The Chinese really stick it to real collectors. They make knockoffs of almost every collectible of value.

e.g. they have knock-offs of the Diablo III Overthrown statue, Frostmourne replica, DC Unlimited Illidian and Arthas, Tychus Findlay, the WOW bronze Blizzard employee statue......and that's just Blizzard Entertainment! which is what I collect. I don't know what they do to you guys who collect different stuff...

No but if you browse around ebay for collectibles you will find a ton of Chinese bootlegs.

I do check Ebay for things but it's almost always exclusively 1/6 figures or parts, just to get an idea of the current market rate. 9 times out of 10 I'll buy whatever I'm looking for from a Fellow Freak rather than test my luck on Evilbay for that exact reason.

Good idea. Is that parts for broken Hot Toys figures? And by the way, the name of this thread sounds inflammatory but I'm not a racist. My best friend is Chinese, well, Taiwanese. Maybe China will try to reclaim Taiwan someday...hmm...probably would start World War III though.

Yeah, bloody Chinese, I wish that rather than having the toys I buy being affordable because they are produced in Chinese factories that they could instead be made in German or American factories. That way I could pay four times the price for my figures, which would be awesome. In fact I'd be paying four times the price for just about everything. Great, that'd really stick it to those Chinese goons.

Luckily, I haven't run into many QC issues with my HT figures. I have bought some extra bodies and sets of clothing on Ebay, and a few figures.

I typically only buy from referred sellers that have extensive feedback and 100% rating. I don't even like risking buying from a seller with 99% rating, but I'll make an exception if they have like 3,000 feedbacks and a %99.0+ rating b/c odds are with that many transactions something will go wrong once in awhile like a lost or damaged package.

They will never reclaim my country !!!! Haha well I don't really care, since I am here in LA, and fight a war is a bad idea for all people, anyways, I am a Chinese and I do search evilbay everyday to find cheaper price for my own collection, well lots people do that anyways...

Lots of toy companies (many other industries as well, but let's not mention them) have their factories in China. All these companies do are to place their own representative to do the QC work. Assembly line is almost always all chinese.
