Well his not really leaving since he is making room for newer statues & 80s toys. Surprise CBG is selling that much though.

I get it. As your house begins to fill up not just with statues but with giant annoying boxes, the hobby starts to seem less and less fun ...until soon the idea of having empty space available and everything not being so crowded starts to seem just as appealing as buying more statues.

Interesting Theory; SAB and you might be close to the Truth :lol:lol:lol

I have a sale like this every few years when I just am having a hard time finding spots for pieces I know it is that time. It is quite liberating. I do end up regretting a few pieces but by that time the prices are too high on it.
What a collection if that is only half should buy plenty of toys.
Luckily I never had issues with boxes as my attic is pretty large am so far only one box doesn't fit in the entrance. But I can see for some how annoying they can be.

That is what Buddhism preach. Most people dont' dig it until it's too late.

Don't remember having the pleasure of talking to the guy. Seems like a nice guy, somehow.

He's selling LOTS of stuff! But I'm from Buenos Aires and live in Argentina, so I don't qualify as a buyer.

The best of luck to him, anyway. Hope he's got a great vacation.

haha well I wasn't trying to be all spiritual.

Just pointing out that when you're new to this hobby, you get all excited and picture rows of awesome statues ..... it doesn't really occur to anyone that a statue box is way bigger than the statue itself.

So one room full of statues often means 2 rooms full of boxes :D

My apartment is small, i have boxes stacked up in various cupboards done in a Tetric like fashion.
