It's not really what you think, you can't do any work with it, the best it can do is allow you to rotate and zoom stuff, and that's really it.
I'm actually guessing there will probably be numerous smart tools and controls in the future. So imagine working on something small and being able to blow it up huge so you can make small detail adjustments, or holding a virtual pen or sculpting knife in your hand--it would take some getting use to the virtual space of course. The point of this is that a UI like this might allow people to work much more intuitively and organically. I'm a senior creative director overseeing design and video production, and we've already been talking about the possibilities. I have a WACOM tablet on my desk for Photoshop work, but this would be so much faster. I could see this merging traditional and digital sculpting in a very cool way.
