I actually managed to get my hands on the Tamashii Web Exclusive FAZZ.

Beautiful figure and enough to convince me to get the rest of the Robot Damashii/Ver Ka Gundam Sentinel releases, but man did I overpay for this thing...

Anyone doing any Black Friday shopping? So far, I haven't seen any deals that are going to make me pull the trigger.

I picked up Eowyn from the Asmus site for $88 + $25 shipping for a total of $113. Kind of expensive for shipping I thought, but overall not bad for her. That was about my only Black Friday purchase this year.

I really don't think I'm going to buy anything this year unless the discounts get better for Cyber Monday. So far, I either have the stuff on sale or the sales just aren't big enough to make me pull the trigger.

This was the weirdest Black Friday ever for me because it was, like, the year of restraint. I had like 60 bucks worth of discounted blu-rays in hand at Best Buy, and then I put pretty much everything back. Same deal at the comic shop I went to; a few hardcovers I wanted, checked online, saw that the “deal” wasn’t as great as it was made out to be (still good, but comparable to prices you could get online, anytime), walked out with nothing more than the backissues I had needed to fill in the gaps. So, if anything, I think I saved money. All I got from Best Buy was the Alex Ross Wolfman steelbook.

I'm seeing either deals that aren't great or deals that were decent but had a limited amount available in-store only. I'm not going to the physical stores anyway so if it's not something I can do online then I just ignore it.

I broke down and bought a Threezero Breaking Bad Jesse figure for $62 on Amazon.

They have consistently shown MOST Black Friday stuff is nonsense. It’s just s the start of discount season. The new term is Grey November.

The prices set that day, except for items years old and “door buster” clearance “get rid of super old stock” ....will be the same prices for months.

I think I’m going to give up my premium freak membership. It expires in 2 days. I had it on automatic renewal. How do I turn that off? I can’t seem to find where make sure the site doesn’t automatically take $25.
