dont think they are shipping in order of when the orders were placed. i ordered day one and paid in full. my order is #11151

I don't think they're going in order either. Not that waiting a few more days is a big deal, but I'm getting more anxious to get them now that I know they're shipping.

What the **** is it with people being *******s lately? This is supposed to be the one time of the year that people act nice to each other. Customer after customer coming in complaining about everything under the sun--the majority of which is completely out our control--and not even apologizing when they realize they bitched and yelled over something that was their fault. If I were Santa, I'd take an army of elves with me on Christmas and have them **** down every chimney.

I've had to repeatedly take calls saying "why are my filings sitting there was two days ago?" We were closed four days last week, you dumb ****.

:lol

I’m telling you man, the new favorite pastime is recreational bitching! People just can’t get enough...

It's unreal. Everyone's go-to response is to complain before they even understand what's going on. All they know is that there is no way possible that they can be at fault for anything--even if that's proven to be the case. It's infuriating dealing with people that think they're so ******* smart and so ******* special that they don't actually need to know anything to be right. I'd like to put that on a bumper sticker. :lol

I won't get this one, but I love that they even made a statue of Deadman.

Deadman's my favourite DC character, or at least top three with Ted Kord and Booster Gold. I'm going to have to keep repeating a mantra of "don't have the space" to avoid buying that...

Congrats!

Anyone see the pics of the "Joe" joker figure from Super Mad Toys I believe it's called? I saw them on the KG Hobby facebook page. Looks pretty good for the price, but not a fan of the body and the elbow joints.

Yeah, I think I'm going to pick one up. I can replace the body if necessary. It'd have to be painted, but I'd only do that if the body really bugged me.

WB just ****ing blows my mind with their future film decisions. Possible Harley Quinn films planned--Suicide Squad 2, Gotham Sirens, Joker and Harley film, and now another one that Margot Robbie mentioned in a recent interview. Who know if any of these will actually be made, but you can see where their heads are at. They may as well just make a Harley Quinn film division with a logo that's just a big middle finger.

I think I finally know their strategy. It doesn't matter what the critical reception for these movies were and would be- let's assume each film takes about $100-300 to make, and even with lower critical reception, the market has proven that they'll eat up these movies and they will turn a profit anyway. Oh you think you can vote with your wallet? Go ahead, because there's China.

Look at Justice League which made much less than BvS and SS in it's opening weekend, which quickly became a non-issue once it was released in China. I guess at the end of the day, as long as it keeps making money, they'll make more. Does it really matter what you think as a DC fan wanting just ONE of these damn films to be half decent? Of course not. :lol

:lol Unfortunately, you're right about them not giving a **** about the fans wanting a watchable film. They'll keep churning out **** until the comic book film bubble burts even if they're making minimal profit overall. What's annoying is that WB seems to be doing everything in their power to help it burst sooner rather than later.

I'm going to be surprised if JL hits $250 million domestic and may not go much higher than $700 million worldwide--which is bad enough compared to other comic book films nowadays and embarrassing considering it's a film with the ****ING JUSTICE LEAGUE.

I really don’t know what else to say about DCEU. I’m not paying to see those movies in theaters anymore. JL should have been a lot better. It’s embarassing to see those titles fold.

Yeah, but I don't see how the market would be burned out by these films anytime soon. It's not like this is something new to DC/WB. They've been doing this since Superman III, which they made that and the sequel under severe budget cuts to maximize profit, but movie goers of that time were smart enough to say no and that killed the franchise. Ditto when WB booted Burton for not making billions on Batman Returns, in which they specifically instructed Schumacher to gear the films for kids to buy toys.

Even the DCEU wasn't spared either. BTAS started as projects to sell more toys, and Bruce Timm fought hard to get the show he wanted made and won. WB fought Timm again in the late 90's because they wanted "A Batman show closer to Power Rangers and Pokemon" so they wanted a teenage Batman and the BTAS crew almost quit their job before Paul Dini said, "Let's roll with it anyway".

Point is, even when WB are being boneheads, sometimes the creative team fights back- but with the money these DCEU films are making, I doubt any of the cast and crew would complain. Just roll out 10 more sequels and fix each movie based on general feedback, because dammit Marvel is 10 years ahead of us.

I'm rambling and I apologize- I just want a DC film I can get behind, but the only good one for the last 9 years was Lego Batman.

Suicide Squad made over $745 million worldwide, all said and done. Do the math and they made more than double their investment easily, despite it receiving scathing reviews and being hailed by many as one of the worst films ever made.

To be honest they did something smart with Suicide Squad - not in spirit-of-good-filmmaking sense, but in a cold-hearted, demographic-pandering business sense: it's a film tailor-made for young, ADHD-addled generation z audiences who are used to consuming all of their media three minutes at a time via YouTube, Snapchat, etc - a stream of unconnected "moments" and "happenings", complete with glossy title cards and stat sheets for each character straight out of a videogame, and a pulsating, obnoxious soundtrack. It's a film you can check out of every few minutes in order to fire off some more WhatsApp messages and lose absolutely nothing by doing so.
