The upside to living in the middle of nowhere is that none of these toy companies want to have anything out here so I don't have to pay tax like people in California, Florida, or Texas. The downside is that I live in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, it's not so bad. I could do without the Bible Belt part of living out here, but I've found a lot of people stop talking to you when they realize you're a crotchety ******* that says "****" a lot. :lol

Speaking of things that piss you off, my iPhone 6 Plus has been running like a pile of crap! I saw all of the BS about the battery nonsense And them slowing down the older phones, and almost suckered into going to the Apple Store to pay them $30 for a new battery. I decided to say screw it and not wait the 2 to 3 weeks it was going to take to get it done and do it myself. Pretty simple to do. Only cost me $22 and I have a brand new tool kit full of items that I wouldn’t have had with my going to Apple. And it is exactly as they say, after you install a new battery the performance goes back to new again. I ran a benchmark app before and after, and after changing to a new battery, the performance numbers on everything in the benchmark app basically doubled! So anyone saying Apple isn’t throttling people with older batteries to get them to buy new phones needs to run some of these tests for themselves!

That’s ****ed up. I usually keep my iPhone for two years then get a new one. I didn’t this time though because the prices are pissing me off. I’m sure I’ll cave eventually, but I’m going to hold out until I’m so irritated with my phone that I can’t take it anymore.

I just replaced my battery few days ago after 2 years. I did noticed everything is mostly silky smooth again. What's this app you're mentioning?

I use "Hey Siri" a lot while driving. I'd rather not glance at my phone so I find the feature invaluable.

Yeah I’m in the same boat and not spending a grand on a new phone. Total joke. Especially with the new specs showing the New components in the new phone are half the price of the previous year‘s models. These new phones should be half the price not double the price! It’s a complete rip off! Then add in the BS that they removed the discounts for signing a new agreement and now you are screwed and stuck paying a complete full price for a new phone. I just will not do that! I have friends that have the seven and eight, and my 6 plus is not that far off on performance for pretty much most things.

There are 2 apps to use. Battery life and performance test mobile.
Battery life tells you the % battery that it can charge to on a full charge. Mine was 78%. According to some tech joints around town, if your % gets to below 80% the phone changes to slow mode. Apparently the iOS software reads the battery % capacity and if it’s low it throttles the phone.

PerformanceTest mobile gives you the benchmark numbers. You can check your #s against what normal output is if you search online. Like I said I did mine and the old lady’s last night and the numbers were doubled after the battery swap. Both of ours were under 80% max capacity.

Does anyone use software to catalog their collection? I am looking for a simple, free program to inventory this mess in case I get hit by a bus someday.

I've used collectionstash.com for the last five years. It's free to use and you can log on anywhere since it's web-based. I'm an admin there so let me know if you have any questions.

I still haven't seen it either so I can't tell you, but it's a Superman figure though so I have to get it. The way WB is going with their DC films, it may be 10 years before I get another one. :lol

I'm really trying my best not to buy a Star Trek The Next Generation pinball machine. :lol

Looks like HT Tarkin is out overseas now. I don't know if Sideshow will get it shipped before Chinese New Year though.

I haven't bought any of the HT Star Wars figures yet, but I do love Peter Cushing. Maybe I could get the head and hands and make a Horror Express custom...
