Agreed on all points Zod. Though, I really don't see the charm Cavill would have as Supes. But then again, he doesn't have the best opportunities. I'm just a Reeve loyalist. He was Superman to me and I'm not always cognitively flexible when it comes to Superman

Reeve is my Superman and always will be—even if Cavill is given a great script. I was one of those kids (and still am) that Reeve truly made believe that a man could fly. I just hate the thought that there won’t be another great Superman film so I’m rooting for someone to give Cavill a chance to carry more films. I like Batman, but I wish WB would put half the time, money, and energy that they do for Batman films into Superman films. There are a ton of great Superman stories to be told and I’d like to see some of them on the big screen before I die.

Superman has a stigma to fight, hence why he’s having difficulty being well represented in the public eye. It’s totally doable to write a “modern” and “dark” Superman story without compromising the character. If people are just too jaded and cynical to take a do gooder wearing undies seriously that they champion a brooding-neck-snapping-hobo version of the character, then that’s all the more reason we need the real Superman back. No BS speeches about “hope” and “Gods”, just be confident in your character.

I can’t tell you how many friends I have that think Superman is lame because he isn’t “dark” then I tell them to watch “Superman vs The Elite” which shut them up.

This guy is ****ing crazy. I don't know how he got anyone to work with him for so many years or how no one filed law suits against him for assault, harassment, etc. At least he got his big stupid ****ing spider so he could shut the **** up about it.

Talking about Superman, and what I wish we'd see in a live action film, I remembered this short animated I saw a couple years back. It's so simple, but damn impressive, and nails exactly who the character is.

I am too. I'm also hoping they consider him for Bond again when Craig is done with the role.

I still really like the idea of Tom Hardy as Bond; but yeah Cavill should definitely be in the 'hat'. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. shows he pretty much ticks all the Bond requirements.

Superman vs The Elite is a brilliant story and one of my favorites. I was so happy to see someone tell a story that argued against having to make superheroes "dark and gritty" to be relevant. People that don't like Superman because he's a boy scout or "can do anything" haven't read enough comics. There's much more to the character than just a guy that's strong and can fly. It's depressing that the film people now can't figure out what to do with the character when they have decades of stories to pull from. I've said it many times, but I'm so glad I have the animated shows and movies to go back to when I need a Superman fix. It's nice knowing that someone somewhere got the character down perfectly.

I love that video. I remember seeing that awhile back for the first time and thinking that it was amazing that they captured what makes Superman Superman in under 5 minutes.

I’m watching that Russian Guardians movie. I haven’t seen JL yet, but I’m betting Guardians is at least as good.

That's the new show? why not the Kents before they found Clark? I'm sure that would be even more uninteresting than this plot they went with, which seemed to be their aim.

I was rather impressed by it, although the werebear CGI was not the best. But better than I thought a Russian superhero movie would be.

Don’t forget the forced love story between Lois and Lex as well. Ugh. Just thinking about it depresses me.

Guardians honestly wasn't that bad. Giant werebear, Asian ninja Flash with swords, and this delightful young lady that is now my girlfriend.

Apologies to my wife who had to listen to me talk about how she was hot as **** through the entire film.
