I finally finished watching The Last Jedi last night.

I don't care what happens in the rest of the films. The new characters are boring, and the writing is absolutely awful. Half of the scenes looked like they were only written so they could have images for the posters, and the other half were written so female characters would be more important/powerful than male characters.

My favorite character in the film was this guy and he was probably on screen for 60 seconds without actually doing anything substantial.

I think I'm not going to bother with the new Snorelogy until it's done. I saw some clips from TFA and the final battle scene in TLJ and was grossly unimpressed.

You haven't seen TFA? Wow, I'm impressed. It's not good and very by the numbers; doesn't even come close to the OT but the fact that you haven't even seen it considering how much of an event it was surprises me.

Don't get me started on TLJ. It single handedly killed my interest in the franchise. There are only 3 movies and nothing more.

If you find that impressive, I haven't seen one MCU film.

Not one.

I still can't believe you haven't seen any Marvel films. They're hit and miss on quality, but there's so many of them now I would have thought you would have caught one by now. :lol I have to say, I'm getting excited for the new Avengers film. I think it's going to show the villains wrecking ****--and if there's one thing I love in a movie, it's villains wrecking ****. Of course, I'm also looking forward to drinking all the tears of the Marvel fans crying when someone gets killed.

I know. I'm actually surprised myself. I don't actively avoid them, but I hardly ever even use my TV. But I don't seek them out because I'm honestly not into any of the Avengers characters and I never was.

wow that really is amazing you haven't! there are sooooo many now that i would've bet you'd caught something by now...

the 1st captain america flick was really good... dug the old skool vibe it had set back in the day. and the 1st iron man flick was pretty good too. there are some yawners in there, but they have the recipe down pretty good on the movies. anxious to see infinity wars too... expecting it will shake up the MCU after it is all said and done! from the guys that have said they are done after this flick, you know there is gonna be some carnage!

I love the villains Thanos surrounds himself with--at least, I liked them in the comics. I don't know if they'll be watered down in the film, but hopefully they go nuts with this one because that group is bad ***.

With all the hype and built up they better go all out!

Makes me wish DC/WB had its **** together with their films...

As for the Marvel movies I’ve only seen both Avengers movies and the Cap movies. Caught both Guardians and Antman on HBO and Guards 2 on Netflix. Not care for the other movies or it’s characters.

I suggest to watch these:
Iron Man - Thor - The First Avenger - The Avengers - The Winter Soldier

Pretty much the only good and essential movies.
First GotG are good too but don't add anything to that list.
The rest are not worth anyone's time or money.

That seems to be the consensus with just about every person in here. As a spectator to all of the talk about the films over the years, it just seems they're put on an assembly line and make a ton no matter what.

Oh, I forgot about SP:Homecoming which was okay. I did like Michael Keaton as the vulture.

Received the Stanley Lau Poison Ivy statue today, I think she looks quite lovely. Kind of a 'fashion model' Ivy. It is nice seeing a unique take on the Poison Ivy costume, makes her stand out on the shelf.

That's pretty much what MCU is. Even during "Phase One".
Tho as much as I prefer Ang Lee's HULK over TIH... at least TIH was the most unusual and dark film in the entire MCU.

I love Artgerm's art and have a ton of his prints. I got to talk to him for awhile at the Sideshow party at SDCC a couple years ago, and it was refreshing to see that he's a genuinely nice guy. I passed on those Artgerm statues though. I can appreciate what they were going for, but they're a little to niche for me.
