In most cases I favor "real" shoes over sculpted ones, but sometimes the sculpted shoes just look way more natural and this is one such case. I don't know if you've seen the Loading Toys Adidas -- probably the closest "real" shoes to this particular classic Adidas model -- but even they look really chunky next to your sculpt.
