I'm trying to think of a cliffhanger that would want me to watch season 4.

Oh, probably it'll end up with the Mythosaur popping his/her head out of the spa pool, and the camera will zoom into the reflection of Bo in the eyeball, and the cliffhanger is whether she gets eaten or not, but she isn't, because S4 kicks off with Sir Grogu flipping himself in front of her doing mystic Force chatting.

*Sigh*. Not long ago I couldn't wait for the next episode, and now I'm praying for an S2 of BOBF. At least Rasta Tusken may not be dead.

I was wise to keep my collectibles to Seasons 1 and 2. *&^%$! This wasn't what I was hoping for, for this series at all. Not bloated superficial cartoons.
Worse, Filoni isn't some experienced live action director, as he said himself, so WTF are they thinking?

Like when I grimly line up to watch the next Mando episode, pathetically clinging to memories of perfectly paced scenes and shots, accented with great music, and was practically falling off the couch over the stress of whether Mando would leave the Child, and cheering when he slammed the gear shift back....the chemistry of Din and Cobb Vanth, Din and Boba and Fennec kicking butt, Mayfield and Din, building the N1, when the Armorer was a mystic presence, when whether Din would bond with the Darksaber....

All shredded by a large person in a cheap cellophane head piece who can't act, scripts on the level of the Fury eye thing, and long eared monkeys pointing out Stranger Danger in the space version of Pirates of the Caribbean.

You do know there’s only one way to get experience right? And he’s gained some from Mando.

Reading about the current season makes me glad I haven't watched it. The end of S2 feels like a much better ending to the story of Mando and Grogu, so I'll be leaving it there.

Smart decision. Wish I could've done the same

man after all the bitching in this thread I was expecting the worst for the last Mando episode... it was a little slow but not as awful as a lot of you made it out to be.

I knew Bo would get the saber back after she rescued Din so was expecting that. I was always expecting her to play a more major role this season so it doesn't bug me but I am curious how they are going to wrap up this season in two episodes.

And Lizzo was OK - she's a better actress than Gina Carano and we had far more of her **** acting in the show.

Yeah, and IMO it's his directed episodes that seem to be the most leaden - not visually, but the pacing (the Toro and Ahsoka episodes). Still think Filoni made Ahsoka more boring than she needed to be, instead of playing more to Dawson's strengths - not everyone can pull off being full of gravitas like an Ian McKellen.

It's not the worse thing in the world, but not the best choice IMO either. Unless he's backed by some really good people. I'd be a lot happier if Favreau were directing who is used to directing big budget films.

On the other hand, based on YT comments, a lot of folks don't seem to care, just whether their favorites show up. And at least it's not "magic box" Abrams.

I'll disagree - Carano was rapidly improving and at least was believable. IMO Lizzo was terrible, the episode was trope cuteness, shallow, and the best thing for me was a new planet and the city scenery. Can't see ever rewatching this cartoon episode.

I'm trying to think of a reason to continue watching this show after reading everything... I stopped after watching ep1 & ep2 back to back...



I really like Mando as a character, enjoying s1 & s2. I don't want this season ruining him for me like Buba Fett.. It gets harder and harder to pretend this stuff never happened.

LOL I may have a hate boner for Ahsoka but not for Dawson, IMO she did the physicality. I try to be fair - IMO Dawson is better letting her have more liveliness as Ahsoka in speaking scenes, instead of trying to turn her into Cate Blanchett.

And to be fair, the S3 writer this season was Favreau, with assists from Filoni, and another - and I'm shocked, shocked I tell you, when the person behind the Krayt dragon episode was turning out this kind of shallowness. I'm suspicious of F&F both now. Time to call the Russo brothers IMO.

Although, to be uber-fair, I'm also suspicious about how much Disney's cost cutting lately is affecting - everything. E.g., no time for reshoots or re-edits this season, or leisurely script changes.

I would stand up for Jon Favreau but for TBOBF. That was really so very terrible. I have watched fan edits trying to remedy the problems and even those can't salvage much.

Feloni is practically untouchable for me though.

Nah. They should have stuck to the plan. Season 3 should have been the A story of Mando going back to bounty hunting and joining with Bo to retake Mando with a parallell B story of Grogu learning to be a Jedi with Luke presenting Grogu with the choice between Saber or Beskar as the season finale cliffhanger.

I'm staring at my Cara and Mando statues. Memories of greatness. I'll have to *compartmentalize* that the show wound up for me with BOBF and Mando flying off with Grogu.

Have the forlorn hope that complaints will reach F&F, but figure at this point they know they've got us. We'll line up for the space whales, Thrawn, and the inevitable Grogu getting shot but saved by the Beskar salad plate he's wearing, in time to Force choke Thrawn but be stopped by Luke who gives some speech about forgiveness, rehashing the events of ROTJ.
