A few years ago this would have sounded silly but now that I'm still buzzing off the John Wick flicks and seeing Carrie-Ann be respectable in Jessica Jones I say bring it on! 
I still can't get used to this:

This could be the most racially, culturally, body-size, gender-diverse and inclusive movie ever made, or that ever will be made. Even the Sentinels and Mr. Smiths will be questioning their sexuality and identity. Gabourey Sidibe will play Neo's alter ego and Kaitlyn Jenner will play Trinity's alter ego.

Okay suddenly I'm not as excited about this one. You guys are right, this will probably be the most eye-rollingly "woke" film of all time, lol.

Well, remember, you yourself pointed out that the Matrix trilogy was actually massively diverse in its cast so this won't be any different - except, possibly in the way they beat us over the head with it as they promote the movie. That wasn't a thing they felt the need to do 20 years ago. They will now.
Yeah, the diversity in the prior movies was great and didn't take you out of the films in any way. Buy with as weird as the brothers have gotten I fear that that won't be the case going forward. Hopefully we can be pleasantly surprised because it'd be great to see them end the series on a high note.

It didn't take me out of the film, but I noticed the diversity during the meeting scene in Reloaded. I was like, "The machines killed all the white people. And is that Roy Jones the boxer?"
Then they showed the "elders" of Zion and they were mostly old white people and it all made sense again.

Will Smith was supposed to be Neo and Morpheus was going to be played by Val Kilmer.
I'm old fashioned and I still believe in "pick a side". To me, the above three are just confusing.

I hope the new movie is good. I love the original but the other 2 had moments I liked. I feel matrix is like Highlander in there can only be one. Stand alone film that is.
