The next Popcultureshock PF is Ken!!

Okay its Friday in some places so here is your tease of the next Street Fighter statue.

Im VERY happy with this piece. I probably captures the character the best out of the entire line...of course most of the credit has to go to the pose.

I sculpted everything but

- The face : Erick Sosa (I did the hair)
- The hands and feet : Alexi Bustamante

Dont ask me when it goes on sale as Sideshow hasnt told me yet.

I like the pose and like the hair but something is off on the face for me. The face is too narrow...

Seems to be based off an illustration like this:

instead of the standard wide jaw that even the animeish look has that has been associated with Ken:

But yes, Ken kicks ass, I really can't wait for this piece. Karma, correct me if i'm wrong, but we were just talking about this last month while playing Street Fighter (him doing a Ken statue) and we were trying to figure out what the pose would be. I think we called it too

I think the variant might be chang of head with a younger face with ponytail

either that or a colour variant

The young version with the tail would be cool.. a good homage to SF history.

I think the variant will be a different colored ghi though, like his blue one or orange/gold one.

Perhaps its just the angle of the photo, but the face does seem a bit off. I cant tell you how tempting it is to just drop everything and get into this line...
