I was diagnosed with prostatits :monkey2
Im only 17 and apparently you supposed to only get prostate problems when your oldish.
Has anyone else on here got or no of anyone with problems with there prostate gland ?. Can't find a forum of anything so it would be great to just know someone else who has a similar or the same problem.
Anyone ?
Also any comments are welcome .

seems there are more online now so I will bump this to the top.
Is it possible anyone has a similar problem ?

thank god no. They did a scan and thought they saw something like a "lump".
Immediately I was scared to death , they said I had to wait 4 months before I could have a scan. No way was I waiting that long. Me and some of my family helped pay for it. $1000!!!!!.
I had the scan and everything seemed to be fine except my prostate gland was almost doubled in size !. It sucked to waste a grand but I feel a lot more relieved now so I'm glad I did it. Prostatitis basically causes alot of pain in ( well you know where :lol ) , the lower back , the pelvic area and a few other places.
It's now 05:13 in the UK and I woke up in pain about an hour ago.
It sucks big time but as long as it can't kill me I'm happy I guess , theres people much worse off.

yeah they stuck me on two different ones.
I'm hoping it wont be as bad as it is now forever. Apparently it can be treated but not cured. They also stuck me on quite a few pain killers , I'm taking alot of tablets a day now. Just of the top of my head , tramadol (pain relief ) , paracetamol ( pain relief ) , diclofenec ( pain relief ). The two antibiotics and there are another three I think for the back pain and something else.
Also the diet needs to be changed completely to alot of healthy foods so that can only help with everything else I guess and its best to eat like that. Now I don't really have a choice as long as I work out I should be as buff as arnie by the time in 20. :lol:lol
Thanks for the comments.

really sorry to hear that Hicks. i've had chronic prostatitis since i was about 38. i'm 42 now and thankfully it's been infrequent the last couple years. Levaquin usually clears it up in about 3 days. Saw Palmetto hasn't seemed to do anything for me.
man, 17?! really hope it's a one time thing. feels like there's a watermelon up your ass don't it lol. and hellish lower back pain. anyway, do you stand alot at your job? i've been a bartender for years standing 8-16 hour shifts solid w/ no breaks and the Doc said that may've contributed. or perhaps you sit alot at work? Doc gave me some advice that did really help. don't set flat on your butt (like putting pressure on where the prostate is at). try and sit on one butt cheek or use padding to put the pressure on the sides. welp i wish ya all the best!

hey there. im a chiropractor and have had very good results with my prostate patients. alot of times a good sacral adjustment does the trick :) anyways, get yourself to a good chiropractor and let me know how it goes!

lmao :lol.
Well when the pain first came on I kinda had an expression similar to your avatar. :lol:lol
I'm currently at college so basically sit down there 24/7 and other than that my ass is here talking to you guys!. Unless some friends come round or relatives I don't go out much round here since I moved out here. Its boring as hell :lol.
" A watermelon up your ass " , thats a great way of explaining the pain seriously.
Its a pity I couldn't say that to the doctor when he asks me what its like.
I'm gonna try this saw palmetto to see if it has any effect on me ?.
Whats Levaquin , its an antibiotic right ?. I think the doc mentioned that but I know I'm not on it. these don't seem to be working to well after a few weeks , maybe thats the one to try. Thanks for the help MookeyLama , that should be really useful and its good to know I'm not the only sideshow collector suffering from this crap :lol.
Thanks m8 , Tay.

I'll look into that too , thanks alot pal !.
Wow , I've had alot more responses and received alot more help than I thought I would from my fellow collectors , thanks alot guys. This crap was really getting me down.

My brother in law just went through this. It took a couple weeks for the antibiotics to do the trick but he's ok now.

17 and prostatits, sorry to hear that man, so young.

Just eat healthy and live a healthy, active lifestyle. I believe in all the natural stuff :monkey3 :D

I hope the antibiotics kick in soon for you Hicks. Get better soon man!

Research indicates that those people taking saw palmetto actually get a higher percentage of relief than those taking the actual drugs. That maybe something you want to consider.

thanks alot ofr that man , something I didn't know.
I will ask the doctor I'm with if I could try some with the drugs I'm on at the minute. If so I guess it could only help.
I seriously appreciate this help , thanks guys !! :rock

Sorry to hear about your ailment...

You're gonna think it's not related, but...

Do you eat a lot of soy products?

Soy increases the amount of estrogen in a man and can lead to quite a few problems, prostatitis being one of them. (It's not good for women either. :lecture)
