Saw this the other night, thought it was alright.
John Cusack was a good Poe and Alice Eve was hawt. Luke Evans was great as Fields. The mystery of his death was handled well. The "who done it" was weak. The sets and atmosphere were nice.
Overall a 6/10 movie.

Cusak is fine in the film, and I think Poe handled well, but the tale is superfluous, reminiscent of too many things but not good enough to overcome those memories. Not much bad, outside the literal last shot of the film - never have I found the jump to credits so discordant with the film itself. If you were to watch the film, and a fan of those discussed above, you would not hate yourself, but I suspect you'll be hard pressed to remember the thing in 5 years.
