I think the Governor got shot in the arm right after cutting into Hershel's neck the first time. Still, I agree that Rick was in worse shape since he had a gun shot wound to the leg and his hand still wasn't healed from his fight with Tyreese.

oh yeah that's right, not to mention the Gov probably still has 50+ lbs on him as well, but we all know that never comes into affect in Hollywood.:dunno

Always get a good chuckle out of the 90lbs soaking wet chick kicking the **** out of a 250lb guy. never ceases to amaze me.

The other thing that never ceases to amaze me is how many punches a person can take and then turn around and start punching back Rocky-style. :lol

Both Rick and the Governor were landing haymakers on each other and neither one got knocked out (or broke a hand). :lol

Full on haymakers. Cocked back hooks right on the button each time lol.

:lol:lol:lol yes very true. should of been quite a few broken bones in the scene. oh well, such is the fairy tale of Hollywood.

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but for Judith: I saw Tyreese running with with what appears to be something in his arms when the walkway is blown up. (almost hitting him) And the baby seat is near there. Plus, it couldn't have been his rifle, as it looked like it was slung on his back.

I might be reading too much into it.

Pics I made:

yeah it makes sense, but I doubt the show and writers are all that careful for the story line imo.:dunno

Loved the Episode, thrilling and hard to watch at the same time.

After the last Prison-centric episode, I figured Hershel was a goner, but that didn't make it any less shocking and heart-breaking. Out of all the characters, I think his is the one I cared the most about.

As for all those complaining about Rick crying, it's obvious your not a parent, and if you are than there is something seriously deficient about you. You somehow don't expect a Father to cry over the possible deaths of his children? His character has lost so much, I would be surprised if the guy didnt wake up in tears every night just from the nightmares he would have involving his Wife and Kids. Crying doesnt make the character less of a man, just shows he is still human.

Watching the ep tonight - halfway thru it. So, I am supposed to believe that the Governor is so charismatic as to convince a group of stangers that they should declare war on another group of people?

Maybe having a comic guy as head writer is not the best move, cause this episode is BULLCRAP!

I agree. I don't get them complaining about that either but then I don't get most of the complaining so...... :lol

What's doubly worse is that group seemed perfectly happy and secure when Martinez was running things, their camp didn't fall apart until the Gov showed up. Guess they couldn't put 2 and 2 together. "Hey, you know, things were pretty good until Brian showed up. Maybe we should take a closer look at him?"

Ok, I am done with this show......I am sorry, but the deaths on this show, while shocking for the 5 seconds it takes, leads to less interesting characters and situations afterward.

Good job, writers, no one is left that is half as interesting to me

I agree.

That's why people have been dropping the comic. That's why I love the comic.

Of course I expect a father to cry when they lose a child. :slap

But I want to see more than just mopey'ol emo Rick sobbing every episode.

He's like the Eeyore of TWD.

The bits of him having physical confrontations with others are nice, but I want to see him really take control and toughen up. I want to see him be the confident leader who isn't constantly second-guessing himself.

I read the comic, and its much more realistic to me. They never had a story in which a badguy takes 2 pages to get a 'sane' group of people to turn into a bunch of militia wannabes.

Problem is, the writers killed off all of the Governor's original group, and then (apparently) decided, 'lets stick to the comic more!' So then they had to come up with Woodbury 2.0 or some such thing. The fact it happened in the course of 5 min is what is so ridiculous to me. And the end death of we-all-know who was really 'blah' as well.

Only cool moment: blonde girl going rambo on Rambo woman wannabe was great. Rambo woman was useless to me. We never got to know any of the Woodbury 2.0 people really, so why do I care. I love how zombies are now apparently ninjas, laying low in the hopes that a little girl will play in the mud. REALLY? REALLY? HOLY COW, terrible, terrible writing

Gonna stick with the comic, but not so sure with the show. Definitely jumped the shark with the mid season finale

I myself hate nice and neat stories with nice and neat endings. I like comic book Rick a lot better. Not as a favorite character but because of his depth. He's not so cut and dry of a good guy. Same with comic book Hershel. But I know TV needs people to root for and people need closure and things in black and white or they get frustrated. But that's just not real life, it's an escape. I don't want escape, I want art imitating life. Real life.

We don't know exactly how long a time span there was between Martinez dying and Gov finding Michonne and Hershel. It might have been a decent stretch of time; with him constantly telling them it isn't safe there and they need to find somewhere fortified. Feed enough fear into people, and they become desperate. Since this is the zombie apocalypse, desperation runs high. Plus, it was only the "militia" of the the group, and they were obviously just ready to move to safety. ("We want what you got, a**hole!") And they must have believed that they could take the prison peacefully, and would only "defend themselves" if they were shot upon. Rick's group fired first if I remember. (Even though Gov had just killed Hershel) It all happened fast after that point; thus leaving little time to think.

As for the "ninja" walker, I got that it had gotten flash flooded (hence the sign), got stuck in the mud, and had no reason to get up. We have seen them sit or lie around if they are trapped in some location.

Ever try moving around in mud? I played Mud Voleyball for charity, and believe me it's not as easy as it looks. Not to mention that it had (supposedly) been there for a long time. It would have had a hell of a time getting up.
