Hmm....theres a few Sam Raimi homages. The Blender was one. He's my favorite director, so I wanted to pay tribute to the best.

Yes that scene was also a homage. Just like in Spider-Man and Drag Me To Hell.

But the fact that this is a homemade movie and it was giving me the creeps means its really good!

Garage Band is seriously the coolest program ever....EVER.

Uh, I guess I should provide some behind the scenes info...

What inspired me to make this film was a few different things, one being my huge fear of Alien Abduction...heh. Two was the horrible movie, The Fourth Kind. It had no pay off at the end, and I felt in a movie about Aliens....you need to show the damn Alien atleast once.

My shooting style I went for a mix of, a dash of Sam Raimi, and Martin Scorsesee. After seeing Shutter Island, I was just in awe of how he shot it. So brilliant and suspenseful. I didnt steal his style, I just took some elements and incoprated them into my own.

And the music was a tad inspired by Shutter, the very sort of off key, loud piano chimes. I wanted that over the top ness for some of the scenes.

The rest was just a throwback to the 80's flicks of the time. I love that stuff.
