I hate it when someone gets a figure before me and posts so many pictures of said figure that I can barely muster up any excited anticipation for it.

:(

I posted something similar. Seeing and discovering all the little details and workings is one of the joys of this hobby. Sure it's good to see some reference to make sure the value is there for your monies. But going over every single picture takes away the enjoyment of the piece. You then just take it from the box and put it on the shelf for a bit then sell it and on to the next hyped object.

I was ready to cancel Rey a month ago for exactly that reason.

Other than being in Star Wars, never saw anything special about her character or the need to have a $200 figurine of character on the shelf.

I peaked into that Rey thread and had to tap out after two pages of seeing the figure re-enacting every scene in the movie.

I had just started being ok with HT Han Solo's ****house sculpt when the superior Jnix sculpt carpet-bombed the official thread.

Yup. Same thing happened in the DX11 thread, and no doubt plenty of others. To be fair I don't think it's the artists but the collectors doing it.

Small-minded, self-proclaimed "intellectuals" who love the sound of their own keyboard.. with zero self awareness and an aggressively unrealistic belief that this is anything but a simple toy forum.
