Chiselers on eBay. Like you can't come up another $10 or so bucks? I'm already selling it less than what I paid for it and it's in pristine condition. So insulting.

When I've sold on here in the past I've been relieved if their offer was only $10 less than my asking price and I really wanted to make a sale. Although, yeah, at the same time I thought ''why even ask for $10 off? Does that really help you so much?''

People say that sellers shouldn't ask for paypal fees as extra and they should instead work it into their price. So I do that. But what difference does it make when people still expect you to drop your asking price for them.
For example, lets say I want to end up with a clean 200 in my paypal account so I price at 210 to account for the paypal fees. Doesn't matter. Buyer wants $10 off anyway because he only wants to spend a clean 200.

While were on the subject. Some prick just offered me a 1/3 of what I was asking for on one thing I'm selling. Yeah, let me jump on that...

Am I nuts? If I'm looking for something on ebay I don't send an offer unless there is actually a 'make an offer' option for the listing. I buy it straight up or I move on. :huh

I currently have 2 loose DC 6" figures on Ebay along with some other junk I just want out of the closet. They are listed at $13 each, shipping included.

Message: How many of these do you have? I'll buy right now.
Me: Just the two listed.
Message: Will you take $10 each?
Me: Sorry, price is firm.
Message: $11??????
I don't respond.
Message: Offer is good until tomorrow.

:lol
I love when they play hardball.

Another favorite on SSF are the guys who break down what your Ebay costs would be to justify what a huge favor they are doing you.

I don't begrudge someone taking a shot. If someone is motivated to sell, they may take you up on it. But the attitude is funny.

Sort of related, but not really a "hate" is items listed as "taking offers." I immediately lose interest when I read that.

Exactly, it's to be expected (people taking a shot in the dark on getting a lower price) and I can definitely agree on the attitude being funny. Your post (a few above) in regards to the Ebay auction where you had someone asking "will you take x amount", had me laughing (your hardball comment was great). I have never sold on Ebay and I can't even imagine the stories you or others must have as sellers.

Anyone who works in my office and has to wear their sunglasses when they come in to work and don't take them off until they're seated at their desk.
